Ninjas are actually a spin off of Samurais. Samurais who did not want to follow the code or didn't agree with it went off to be a Ninja. Like one of the codes I believe is to face your opponent face to face, some did not agree with that so they went and became a ninja so that they could use stealth. There is a lot more too it as well.

The methods used by ninja included assassination, espionage, and a variety of martial arts. Their exact origins are still unknown.Get your facts right.

Look I'm telling you a long time ago when there were Samurais around, there was some that did not want to follow the code and they became ninjas. I will look it up to prove it to you

There are a few people and groups of people regarded as having been potential historical ninja from approximately the same time period. It is rumored that some of the higher-ranking daimyos and shoguns were in fact ninja, and exploited their role as ninja-hunters to deflect suspicion and obscure their participation in the 'dishonorable' ninja methods and training
Thats funny I just got that from the same link why dont you get your facts straight or atleast read it all before posting. :|
EDIT: If you actually read a little more in the history of it there was more of that going on, especially there were some who did not want to go by bushido because there was a lot of burden on ones self if you screwed up, so it is said that somje samurais left and became a ninja. It was either that or they got killed.

This is aggressive and unjustified. I don't doubt that ninjas are in some way connected with Samurais...

Look if you read into the history of it and one point there was a special on it I think a while back, that explained that there some Samurais that could not except the bushido code and they went and became a ninja. There were some that messed up as a Samurai and broke the code and could not except some of the punishments, so they fled and became a ninja.
A lot, really. Samurai were military soldiers, while ninjas' line of work were more covert, such as assassinations, espionage, and the like. Their only real major similarities were that they came from Japan.GabuEx
winner for the most accurate!

Yeah I figured as much. Seems pretty logical to me.

No, the Samurai who did not 'follow the code' were called Ronin. They were masterless Samurai who either could no find a new master or resorted to becoming a bandit to make their way. Samurai were the nobles of the time, like Knights and Paladins in Europe and served the Emperor of Japan. They studied Kenjutsu and developed the code of Bushido, as well as hand to hand combat such as the precursors to Judo and possibly Karate. Kendo is a modern spin off of Kenjutsu.
Ninjas were assassins that studied Ninjitsu, that involved hand to hand combat, espionage and various weapon training.
The modern media has brainwashed the west so much they think everything in Japan is the same. Most people wouldn't even know the difference between Kung Fu and Karate >_>

Some of the points you made are correct, I'm not brainwashed in thinking that Ninjas are the same as the Samurai because that is not case, they are totally two differently forms of how they face their opponent and what codes they follow. I'm not saying that they are the same kind. I think originally I mistunderstood the TC's intent. It has been said from what I have read and what I have seen on a special a while back is that there were several stories that a lot of ninjas originated from Samurais, and there were some Samurais that participated in the acts of a ninja. Thats all I was trying to say, it was also said I forget where I read it, but ninjas probably were formed from Samurais who did not want to follow the bushido code and didn't like the responibilites of excepting the code. I'm only telling you what I saw and read.
