What's the most active gaming on the internet right now? I just read an old 2011 thread about the Gametrailers and IGN boards dying out, and also GameFAQs and /v/ were mentioned.

How about now?

System Wars. It is quickly becoming the most popular forum on Gamespot and will likely surpass OT in total posts when the new consoles come out.

System Wars is more than active enough for me. When a forum gets too active and your post needs a bump two minutes after posting it, that's no fun.

ign boards are still active but it is mostly vesti that is active, for the most part the rest are pretty much dead and vesti is not really the best of places Gamefaqs isn't "dying", there simply have not been any massive game releases that take that forum by storm like pokemon and gta will Gamepro used to be big before it died but a complete failure of an overhaul update to the forums killed that place
