I'd say my car, but its 1995 Jeep Cherokee and while the engine is good, the interior is falling apart. So unless it is worth more than 800 bucks, I'd say my computer or my video game collection is worth a lot.

Omni is a connoisseur: he only buys it in vinyl, incunabula and 70mm imax film. for me it's my computer collection, hard to say the value of what's in my current main rig but in total i think 5k> when new is quite plausible

Yeah, I was flush with dotcom money and had one of the first batch sold in the US. It was built to my custom spec in the factory in Germany. The first few months with that car were total rock star, with people getting out of their cars at traffic lights to ask me what the hell I was driving :) Then, the following year when the Roadster came out, I traded in for that

Nah, I worked for MindSpring, an Atlanta-based ISP. My first stock options vested the day after the all-time high of our stock, and was around $100 value per share. If I had a better understanding of capital gains laws, it would have gone even better for me Edit: And Google was not even a notion at this point; altavista and Yahoo were where it was at for search back then
