When you were little you eat and play. when teen you go to school and play. when about 20s go school and dating and play. when you're at 30s married with kids and play..at 40s older now but still can play but work all day. you're 50s barely play but work all day. at 60s barely work hardly play. now you're 65, barely can see things, can't play a thing. at 70, now this is to the point of can't even drive anymore, taking medication just to servive to the next day... see what I mean? poitless to live from 65 to 70 ages. IMO

Stay at home and playing videogames till the end of your days. Now that's a retirement.

If you still want to you can have soup

and maybe talk about how it was, then walk around a bit, then sleep.

I think a 65 year old's fingers wouldn't be capable of coping with that sort of stress, it's sad but true :| not to mention the eyes, and the oh so important senility :|

I used to think the same way, and i still do, kinda.. Once i get to a point in my life when im just "suriving" and not living i just dont wanna live anymore. That doesnt have to be at 65 of course, maybe ill still be able to have fun by that age i dunno. I mean thers this over 100 years old guy that still directs movies in my country, and he only looks like 60. And science is getting pretty advanced so i still have hope to live beyond 100 years with great health, or maybe who knows FOREVER .

He's right. No one over the age of 60 has ever accomplished anything. In fact, it's all downhill after 18 if you ask me.

Not everyone is inactive at that age. Jack LaLanne is a great example.

Then you can wake up and have more soup could be soup with little bits of vegetables maybe some ham if you're feeling brave

That's like saying a 65 year old guitarist can't cope with the stress of playing guitar anymore. If you have experience in gaming, age shouldn't be a determent. Might be hard for a 65 year old who's never played a video game in his life, but someone who's been gaming for most of their life? No.

I think TC 65 years old was just an example. I agree that thers no point in continue living once you begin to just survive each day and wait for your death. Just sleep, eat, barely walk a bit or whatever just aint a live for anyone.

Uh, I'm pretty sure you're confusing people that are 65 years old with SOME people that are 80+

Anyways, I want to live as long as possible. Even if I can't do **** at an old age, I'll still want to live.

This is ridicuous. I know many people at the library who are completely active and techno-savy at 80/90+.

That 25 or more years you're willing to just throw away, silly TC.

Depends on how smart you were in your earlier years. If you invested money, started an RRSP, etc. then you should be rich when you hit 65. If I was that smart, I'd do some traveling. But I dont think I'd want to live past 75, 80 max. By then the money will be gone and you'll be stuck living the rest of your life on $800 a month pension check's.

Look at Hugh Hefner. He was in the Army during World War 2 (which started his writing career) and at 85 he's sleeping with (legal) girls who are young enough to be his great-granddaughter. I can see you wondering what's the point with a guy who has diabetes, already got a body part or two amputated, and is pretty much immobile. But not everybody is that way. A little while ago a man made the records book being the oldest man to complete a marathon.

im going to be 40 in a few days. Ive wanted to die before getting old for a long time now..BUT these days, im so unhappy with my life that I would rather go ahead and die honestly..Im worth way more in life insurance to my wife and kids then I'll ever be alive..im very depressed and down anymore. I pretty much hate myself and life and everyone in encounter. Sad as I use to be compared with the likes of will smith and jim carry..

To be able to piss on your enemies' graves because you outlived them, duh. Also, if you take care of yourself you can have a rich and fulfilling life into your eighties, perhaps longer. The people you speak of, at least that I'm inferring you're speaking of, people with low quality of life and little functionality, generally have had issues that they have had some control of at some point in time. If you live an unhealthy lifestyle in your youth then chances increase that your quality of life will be lower when you get older. However, there are plenty of examples of people who live healthy lives and who continue to find challenge and meaning in life in their old age.
