For me it is Trois Vierges from Epica's album Consing to Oblivion
Off topic: Epica is the best band ever (for me of course)
It's hard to narrow it down. it's usually a song by Tom Waits, though.
"Anywhere I lay my head" for the raw emotion in the vocals
"Christmas Card From a Hooker in Minneapolis" for the story and delivery.
"Hurt" Johnny Cash. Because it's so truthful coming from him.
"I know it's Over" - The Smiths. "Oh Mother, I can feel the soil falling over my head"
"Salty Seas" Devics.
"The Dance" - Garth Brooks.
"Running For Home" - Matthew Good
Yeah,, I listed a lot, but I can't choose one. There's a perfect song for each situation. If I had to lean towards one, it's likely "Christmas Card". That song hurts.
Tears in Heaven is the first song that comes to mind.RHCP87
That's a truly sad song, especially when you're familiar with the inspiration behind it.
A few other sad ones are Concrete Angel - Martina McBride, How To Save A Life - The Fray, Diary - Bread... plenty others I can't think of at the moment.
Arab Dance Party by Gnarkill.....if you haven't heard of it, you cant judge me!
Wait you meant Sad as in Pathetic right?
Dance with the Devil by Immortal Technique
It's about a kid that inadvertently raped his mother for a gang initiation :?
"The Dance" - Garth Brooks.Lockedge
