When I was young I thought it was Nightmare on Elm Street. The Ring was pretty scary ( even though I think most japenese horror sucks).
My favorite horror movie is "The Thing".
Final Destination. I was cringing the entire way through trying to figure out how each person was going to die.UT_Wrestler
I have to admit, the writers made their deaths fairly creative; I couldn't successfully predict anyone's death to the letter.
I don't find any movies scary anymore. My inner youth is gone so when I see a horror movie, I just kinda laugh it off because of the cheap tactics they use to try to scare people. But when I was really young, I would have to say IT scared me to death.
I never understood why people thought this movie was scary. Every time I have seen it I laughed constantly. It's so over the top I could not take it seriouslyThe Exorcist

I have been searching for a scary horror film but so far I've been pretty unsuccessful. Dead Silence was intense though. I'd say it's close.
The Exorcist

Nowadays it's rather dull. Same goes for The Shining (great movie though). When I was little it was probably Halloween. Me and some of my friends watched the original when we were like 9. Oh man, I couldnt sleep soundly for months. Alot of movies dont really scare me anymore but Paranormal Activity 2 scared the $h1t out of me
Final Destination. I was cringing the entire way through trying to figure out how each person was going to die.UT_WrestlerThose films have always successfully managed to keep me on edge. >_>
If by scary you mean that I was pissed I spent money on the movie and set in a movie theater for it than yeah I was scared. I remember going with my family and at the end we we're all annoyed with how bad that movie was. Far to much hype and very little pay offThe blair witch project anyone?

There have been few movies that have scared me.
IT actually gave me nightmares, but that is mainly because I watched it when I was 2...
The endings of both Carrie and Friday the 13th both made me jump out of my seat.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake had me REALLY on edge.
But overall, Paranormal Activity is still the scariest movie I have ever seen. IDK if it is because it really reminds me of some strange experiences I had as a kid (I'll never forget getting ready for school one morning and hearing this deafening crash to which I NEVER found the source of the noise) or if it is because I was always anticipating what was going to happen next, but that movie truely gave me the creeps.
I will say though, no movie compares to the video games Fatal Frame 2 and Silent Hill 2. Those games are BY FAR the most terrifying experiences I have had, media wise.
