What's this type of hat called??

I'm talking about the hat where it covers your ears and has strings that come down the side? It might have something on the top of it (like another string). Anyone know what I'm talking about?

No, it isn't square on the top. It's basically a regular winter hat with something to cover your ears and then there are strings that come down from the side.

Sounds like a beanie. There are a few variants of it, though. The winter one is I think what you described.

Yeah it's one of those, except it has ear patches and strings coming down.

More specifically, they're called an Ushanka. I know because I'm actually Eastern European.
