A Clockwork Orange, definitely. Paths of Glory, Full Metal Jacket, The Killing and The Shining would round out a top 5.

He's my favorite director though. I love all of his films.

My answer changes to this every now and then, but for now my favorite one is 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.

An overrated hack imho. His films are basically as pretentious as they come.

2001 a space odyssey is horrible really, his worst movie. I honestly took it for a joke when we have to watch that astronaut fly around in space breathing for 10 minutes. Absolutely no characters, no story, just okay visuals (for its time) and annoying classical music (that never ends)- it's a good movie to put on if you have trouble falling asleep, like the equivalent of reading your math textbook...

As for his other movies, The Shining isn't scary at all, FMJ is boring, and a Clockwork Orange is just really stupid and silly. Dr. Strangelove is his only half-decent movie, but it's black and white so that kind of ruins it a bit.
