What do you do and do you like it? Any plans to move on or up to another position/job?kdsnswell i work as a part time temp at a company and i hate it.....superviser's a b**ch and throws all her work to me to do ....thankfully im quitting at the end of the month...
EDIT: another reason i hate it is cause they delayed my pay by 1 week...and paid me wrongly after that week..so it means 2 weeks delay..
My occupation is school student meaning I go to school; daydream and do some work. Then I take a nap each lesson and finally come back home. Sadly I don't have a job yet.kulmiyeTheres nothing to be sad about, McDonalds will still be hiring after you leave school.
[QUOTE="trentman7"]I work Part Time at Hungry Jack's, and it's pretty good :). Although today was my first shift so I might be complaining about it soon enough :lol:weddy92you will learn to hate it like myself (everyone wants chicken wraps these days)I do the broiler so I always just chuck in a few chickens to be prepared :P.
Im an engineer for a company called Alstom. I sit around helping design gas/steam turbines in various ways (theres really a lot to it). Mostly I end up doing Excel work or some other type of scripting as theyve caught on to the fact that Im quite good at it.
I cant at all complain about the job itself ... its well paid, I sit in a comfy office, they are sending me to switzerland for 6 months, I get good benefits and good job security in the current climate. Ive already been offered a permanent position after my graduate scheme is completed. All in all I am one lucky git.
Unfortunately Im desperately bored of it most of the time! Much as its a great job I got bored with engineering a long time ago and Turbines themselves dont interest me much so I wish I was doing something a lot more creative. Unfortunately my head for mechanical concepts and other technical stuff is a lot better than for music, or design, or art, or games development, or any other of the professions id rather have :P
So yeah. Great job ... totally uninspired by it. **whinge whing, whine whine** One can but dream.

I'm a Forester.
I graduated college with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry. And, I'm currently an Inventory Specialist. Basically, I help keep track of what's going on in the woods. For example, when you hear a survey say 33% of the nation is forested, that's where I come in to play.
Odd thing is, most people go to college to work indoors, and I went to college to work outdoors. :D
That sounds great.I'm a Forester.

I do practically the polar opposite. I sit at a desk and help people who have problems with their internet connection. Yup, an ISP support-monkey.

I love my job. It pays crap, I have zero insurance/benefits, but its fun, challenging, educational, and I work with good people.
I've never heard of that before but it sounds awesome!I'm a Forester.

I work at a talent agency.
Currently, my job titles are agent trainee / agent assistant.
My duties at the moment include submitting our clients to casting directors and getting them auditions in movies and TV shows. When they get an offer, we negotiate how much money they make and other deal points (dressing room, how they are credited on screen, travel expenses, etc) which will eventually go to their contract. My job also requires me to attend showcases, screenings, plays, etc to meet potential new clients and eventually get them to sign with our agency. The agent I assist teaches me everything he/she knows in regards to how to be an agent and eventually, when I learn enough, I will be promoted to Jr agent and then a full time agent.

Yeah, I dig my job 90% of the time. However, late July and all of August are bad times to work outdoors. Because they are MUCHO CALIENTE! :P
