I used to smoke it all the time beore my son was born and I had to start actin responsible. But I still think it should be legal, it ain't killin anyone.
This should be a poll, and I have no problems with the legalization for medical and recreational purposes, it's perfectally safe, with no permanent harm coming from it, so why should it be banned?

Smoke occasionally, but not in awhile. Been to Amsterdam. I already see people spend most of thier paychecks to buy weed and don;t really do anything with thier life, but I guess the same could be said for alcohol. I'm semi-neutral, and leaning towards legalisation and regulation.

That's why I don't get using. The user has absolutely nothing to gain. Of course there's the state of euphoria, but why get high, only to get sober? You might as well stay high all the time, but then you'd be broke (unless you're growing your own).

That's why I don't get using. The user has absolutely nothing to gain. Of course there's the state of euphoria, but why get high, only to get sober? All give you Euphoria only to be drug back to reality once they are done.
We actually looked at Marijuana and should it be legalized/not legalized in Psychology in college. And non-legalization far outweighed the benefits of legalizing it.
I smoked it reglurly for 5 years as a teen until my early 20's then I became extreemly paraniod and was diagnossed with schizophrenia. I've heard from doctors that cannabis can trigger this illness if your geneticaly suseptable. Personly I think I'm better off not smoking it because the people I know that do are retards. I just didnt realize that until I was clean. My whole family smokes it. 3 uncles 3 aunts and 5 cousins. There all extreemly lazy. None of them remember anything and thier half braindead. My aunt is 53 and been smoking it since she was 16. When she calls she repeats everything 5 times because she forgets what she says within 30 seconds. My uncle is 40 years old and live in my grandmothers basement. He smokes it from the time he wakes up till he goes to bed. He does absolutely nothing but get wasted. Hes been that way for 20 years. Some poeple break away from it as they get older. Others it consumes every waking moment of there life. I guess it depends on there person and thier ability to handle adiction. Some people just cant handle reality. For me I lost touch with reality so I found a new apreatiation for it when I got it back. Being sober surrounded by a buch of addicts and enabelers isnt fun so of cousre I'm a little ticked.

i know what you mean about the retards who cant control it. but what you described is a little extreme. your family must be really weak if they're losers from weed of all drugs. i dont know a single who is like what you have described, and all my friends, colleagues (sp?) smoke it. the only thing i hate about weed and the effect it has on people is how it makes them unmotivated. i cant say this applies for everyone certainly not myself, and i smoke it almost everyday. its just the little things, like not being able to hold down a intelligent conversation for them. i try to talk about politics and they wont know a damn thing because as far as their minds go, video games and TV (not the news) are all that matter.

Of course not. Weed affects your short and long term momory. The ablity to learn new information. How can you learn anything if you cant remember it. My aunt didnt become braindead overnight it took a few years. My memory isnt anything that it use to be because of weed. And I only smoke it for 5 years. Marijuana is extremely toxic, and is a STIMULANT (whereas alcohol is a depressant), and destroys FAR more brain cells than alcohol. It is a gateway drug, and is found to be highly addictive, leading to harder drugs such as cocaine and heroin. Legalizing it would only allow younger individuals to get a hold of it, and make it appear to be acceptable in our society. And don't give me your B.S. statements about only socially smoking it....that doesn't have anything to do with legalization, and you'll still be able to get your paws on it. However you guys wanna live is fine, but don't bring it upon the millions of Americans who respect laws, and care about their own health and children's health. I only hope you guys don't become addicted and screw up your OWN lives. Be careful.
Like any other drug, I don't understand the need to use it. Frankly, though, I see little value in prohibiting a drug which is basically on par with tobacco in terms of health risks. Its medicinal uses are perfectly fine by me as well.
I won't be using it. But if idiots want to ruin their bodies, that's their choice... just so long as they pay their own **** medical bills.

I love how you attempt to minimize people who smoke it by calling the "stoners/potheads" when really, all you've done is insult your own intellegents. Marijuana is EXTREMELY toxic, yet that EXTREMELY toxic substance is responsible for zero recorded deaths. So marijuana is a gateway drug, but so is alcohol. And using that same idiotic logic, cigs are gateway drugs for marijuana. atleast is was for me. sure, there are idiots out there who will do cocaine, herion, Xtacy regularly, but how can you claim that weed alone had to do with it? is everybodies situtaion the same?
