Watched it today. Comedy is forced but it got some awesome soundtracks as Haddaway's What is love or Tamia's Careless Whisper. One time watch 2.5/10.
Whats your opinion on the movie A night at the Roxbury?

@carljohnsoncj:
It was a really fun watch at the time and I thought it was really funny. It didn't age that well though.
I've never bothered. The joke got old by the time an SNL skit ended, I can't even imagine sitting through 90 min's or more.
I remember watching it, but I can't remember anything about the plot except that Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell get upset with each other at one point, probably over a woman, before reuniting.
The skit is fantastic but it didn't need a movie.
I think that's pretty much the case for any SNL skit. The only two that worked as movies, IMO, barely used the source material and went out of their way to write original jokes. If you're just going to stretch a skit out over 90 minutes, then you're going to fail.

Yup. I know some people like Superstar, but it wasn't as successful monetarily or critically as either of those, and as I understand it they also tried to expand it beyond just the skit.

MacGruber had some moments, but I wouldn't call it a good movie.
