My print sucks. I'm 31 and it still looks like a 7 year old's. My cursive on the other hand is much stronger. And it's funny, cuz I actually taught myself cursive.

Print. I tend not to write in cursive because I have trouble reading birthday cards from my grandparents. It's just so... Alien...
I wanna sort of adapt some Olde English Fonte into my handwriting though. That'll be fun
Wow, I didn't expect this many people to say print.. I should have included a poll.... JustPlainLucasWell, get to editing son!
If its just letters then I write in cursive with a little bit of print.
If I'm writing a story or short stories then print all the way.
I love cursive and all but for the life of me I am 31 years old and i still have a hard time trying to write the capital G in cursive along with F and T
The sad fact is, that writing letters is a lost art, especially nowadays. With kids growing up in an increasingly technology dependent society, they have no real need to use print or cursive anymore. School assignments are typed and handed in or emailed in. Conversations happen in texts, which has its own shorthand. Aside from signing your name on checks/store receipts, you really dont need to write anything anymore.AllicrombieWelcome to the future.>.>
I write in cursive because it's faster and I'm just more used to it than my print. Mind you, it is a bit horrible though.
Strangely enough, I write all my capital letters in print(probably because they are so damned hard to form) and the rest of the word in cursive.
Some capital letters I write pretty good in cursive while there are a few capital letters that i just cant get the hang of it in cursive such as G, S, T, and F
F and T are extremely easy, but I'll agree, the G can go to hell. And all of a sudden.. I forgot how to do a capital Q.. :(If its just letters then I write in cursive with a little bit of print.

You know, I never really thought about it, but that's a great point, actually. Cursive is faster to write in, because your hand is only being lifted from the paper every other word instead of every other letter.I write in cursive because it's faster and I'm just more used to it than my print. But isn't that the whole purpose of cursive? To make writing faster?

not always. If you're into calligraphy or art, you want your letters to flow like a river, so to speak.
I thought it was just to be fancy. But isn't that the whole purpose of cursive? To make writing faster?

My hand writing is a strange mix of cursive and print and has only gotten worse due to college and the fast talking professors. Now I have short hand for pretty much everything, and it is also integrating itself into my hand writing. I really ought to work on improving it. :P Amnesiac23I like to imagine someone trying to improve their writing by finishing a word and screaming, "FLOW, DAMNIT, FLOW!" , haha.

Negative reinforcement. Maybe that is the trick! :P
For me it's always print which will be very neat as long as I'm not rushing too much. I gave up using cursive sometime back in Jr. High School and I have this feeling I would be rather slow at it if I attempted to use it once again.
