I personally think he is a lyrical genius and one of my favorite songwriters.

oksongwriter, terrible, i say terrible voice. Jimmi Hendrix blew him away in covering his Dylan's own "all along the watchtower". I adore a lot of 60's music, but this guy sucks IMO

That's my take on him, he certainly had songwriting skills but his songs are only really enjoyable when covered by a vocally superior musician

One of the twentieth centuries greatest songwriters. Not much of a singer.

I like him a lot, I think he's a good man... but I'm gonna make orphans of his children. As for their mother, I would imagine that she would die of grief.

Could care less, I want my Drum n Bass. Few things about me:

I hate literature, and I hate poems. So I don't like him.

I like him. Alot. And, I think I'm the only one here who thinks that Dylan's version of Watchtower is at least on par with, if not better, than Hendrix's.

I think his reworked version he performed with The Band on Before The Flood is better than Hendrix's.

His songwriting is unbelievable. I don't mind his voice personally, but I can understand why some do.

Well, Dylan is God. Anyone who disagrees is evil. It's pretty much scientific fact. Get me a pencil and paper and I'll prove it.

He's amazing. He can sing, but people don't like his voice. I find his voice amazing, It fits the poetry perfectly. And for all you fools saying otherwise, the original All Along the Watchtower is better then the Hendrix version.

In the context of societal issues of his day I suppose his lyrics spoke to the masses. His voice is like nails on a chalkboard however.

Edit: His songwriting has not been as "special" in the last decade or so. He lives on past lyrics.

His voice wasn't good, but he's the best songwriter in the history of America.

I actually love his voice, but it's forever changing, you never know what you're going to get. He's definatly one of the greatest song writers of all time. And Hendrix' cover of All Allong The Watchtower was only better guitar wise, because he couldn't sing for **** either. And Jigggly, how can anyone HATE literature, there must be some writers you enjoy. It just kinda made you sound like of a bit of a book burner.
