Something I need to know. I'm 16, have big feet, long legs, long arms, largish head and a really short upper body :( Will it grow into proportion in the next few years? Also, I'm not posting pics.

I'm 15 and I seemed to have ceased growing in the past 2 years. :P I used to be really lanky, but now I've kinda filled out. I still want to be a bit taller though...
come on, it was! I met an old friend at a school re-union and he had kept growing until he was about 23 or something. he was about 6.7 feet or something. at 16 you're definitely still growing. yes you probably will have lanky legs forever. when men get older they generally put weight on around the middle. stop worrying so much. I'm sure my arms and legs are much lankier than yours and I don't think my life has suffered from it.No.... :)

From what I recall you grow most in stage 3 of puberty, you can still grow a few more inches after that but not nearly as much.
Edit: I'm 6 foot 6 btw and don't mind my height at all
NEVER
As soon as you stop growing vertically, you will grow even more horizontally...stop getting taller, start getting fatter
:)
usually guys are done bytheir late teens
-depends mostly on if you were a late/early bloomer
Also, you may never grow into your torso. I have 1 friend that has like the shortest torso ever. He is all legs. It only looks funny when he tucks his shirts in though

I didn't get fatter, just broader. My jaw, shoulders, chest and hands all got bigger in my late 20's but I didn't get fatter. I'm 33 now and my BMI is right where I should be.
Ok,to all those out there...
DONT SMOKE,i started smoking 2 years ago,and i did grow, but much less than i would have if i didnt start smoking...
So,dont do it...
And to answer your advice.
NO,i wont stop smoking :P
My theory is that you don't stop growing, it just slows down as you get older. I'm 31 now, the last time I measured my height was sophomore year at college at about 183~4 cm, and now I'm a little above 189 cm. So there you go, personal evidence. I've got no reason to lie, so take it as it is.ChateauNoirYah?
And what happens when you are 70-80?
i've always hear you stop growing around 21. That kinda worries me tho, since I'm alread 6'1 and i'm only 14. I dont wanna be any taller, and that unlikely.

I was the same hieght when I stopped growing at 15. I'm the tallest person in my family as well.
We reach our peak height at 23 years of age. And then it stays like that until about the ages of 35-65 (affected by weight, health of food we eat, genetics, race, and enviroment) , when our vertabrates start to shrink, and we appear to be shrinking.

ah, cool! there is yet hope.
I understand your dillema, I'm tall, I have long legs and arms, but my torso is growing slower than every other part. My physician says that's how it's suppose to be. I check my height every 2-3 months and I'm still growing but it only seems to be my legs growing.Something I need to know. Everyone I ever asked said girls stop growing at 18 and guys stop growing at 21, but I wouldn't take that as scientific fact because the people I asked were not scientists.
arent you the guy with the huge forhead?Solid_TangoI don't know WHAT your avvy is, but it's seeping with epic...and it probably will, apparently guys hit their big growing spurt between 14 and 16...mind you, I'm 14 and I'm growing a chinspike and have more leg hair than King Kong, but...XD
