It was 30 minutes before her class started and she was a very religious person. She always prayed in her room, but one day a student saw her and told the admins. She was suspendedd for the rest of the week. When she cae back she was not in a bad mood about the situation, and acted like it never happened. It just always seeed weird.

Do you think it is wrong to pray on public property.

As long as she wasn't forcing others to take part, there is nothing wrong with it.

It does seem a bit odd. If she was leading a class in prayer I could see why something like this would happen give the various stances over school sponsored prayer.

Fake OP.

Public servants are lawfully allowed to pray on their own. There is no discussion.

I honestly don't believe it. What a teacher does in his or her own time, in the office should be none of the school's business. I'm not for prayer in schools, in that there shouldn't be open prayer. We're students suspended for Tebowing last year?

I agree with the others that are skeptical about this. The only thing that has been removed from public schools is mandatory prayer. If this teacher was praying on her own 30 minutes before her class started, then she wasn't doing anything that required suspension. If this actually happened, then there must be important details missing from this story; or the school was grievously wrong for punishing the teacher for something that is well within her individual rights to do.

If she was praying and someone happened to walk in on her and tell, then there is no way she should have gotten in trouble. Its not an offensive act, she didn't do it in front of kids or force them to partake, and it seems like the school was infringing on her freedom of belief.

it most certainly is an offensive act. Just like an insane person writing all over the walls, or talking to themselves, such acts should be dealt with swiftly.

Insanity is something that needs treating. I wouldn't trust any teacher who talks to his/her self.

Maybe if the teacher keeps praying, God will hear her prayer and grant her 3 wishes? Oh wait, there's this quote from Einstein... Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

You talk to yourself. Everybody talks to themselves to some extent. I'd be willing to bet the majority of people have full conversations with themselves, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's a coping method for a lot of people to sort out their thoughts and untangle stressful situations. As for talking to a deity, it's essentially the same thing. You're expressing your wants and hopes out loud, which, coincidentally, is what people who help motivate others to achieve goals or gain something recommend doing constantly. By being verbal with what you want, you're subconsciously more likely to make it happen. There is no 'insanity' basis for talking to yourself unless you can no longer communicate with the 'regular' world because of it. I don't believe in organized religion, but if somebody simply expressing their thoughts to a 'listening ear' constitutes insanity, I'd love to hear what you consider actually insane people to be.

You don't even know why she prayed, about what and if she even expected any result. And that is not the definition of insanity. Once again you prove why you're known as a big sack of sh*t. I must be insane for trying to talk to you, many have already tried but you're still the same sack of sh*t

You probably shouldn't. Eventually you'll run out of different results. Keep rolling that 6 sided dice though, maybe one day God will make it so you can roll a 7.

Even though I do OCCASIONALLY double post that is still 0/3. At least you didn't fall short of your expectations established by you being a sack of sh*t. You implied it and it would've been completely irrational to post it otherwise. The again I've never heard of a rational sack of sh*t.
