Its not really thier parents business anyway, so honestly, I don't think they should feel obligated to say anything.ProudLarry
It is if they are under age and did not get consent from their parents in the first place. Here in Canada the legal age with consent is 14, however 18 without consent or something like that. So if you go out and have sex with your girlfriend under the age of 18 without permission, then you could go to jail for rape (actually if you are over 18 and the girl happens to be under 18 then you would)

were not talking about statutory rape. Let's assume both individuals were underage. And since when do you need a parent's permission to have sex...?
As for me, I've yet to tell my parents and I intend to keep it that way. They really don't need to know... It's not like I want to know when the last time they bumped uglies was >_>
Edit: And my sig is finally back XD
Hah! Never! I would never tell my mom that. All my family would do is most likely make jokes about me , and they wouldn't Believe it. Even though I also won't be 17 when i ...would...you know.
dang , that would be almost 3 years from now if i were to do that.
Its really none of the parents business anyway, I mean I don't go up to my parents and report everything that happens with my body.Bill900

Haha yeah I guess so. Depends on the laws though, I think you need permission if one is older then the other (as in above the age of non consent which is generally 18 ). And yeah, my parents do not even know how many girls I was with while I was at college, nor do they need to know. I just don't have a girl friend, not that it matters cause right now for me one nighters are just fine.

There's no such thing as parental consent to have sex. It's 14 years of age right across the board. The House of Commons will soon pass a bill to raise the age to 16, but with a 5-year window for minors, IIRC. So under the upcoming law, if a 13 year old has sex with a 17 year old, it's fine, but anything above 5 years is illegal. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe that's right.

Hmm, you may be correct. I heard that the Conservatives were planning on raising the age, but I was unaware that they were putting the bill through the House, it was quite a while ago that they announced the plan though.

I'd imagine a "grandfather rule" (nobody look too much into that... pervs) would be in effect for those already 14 and 15 as of the eventual signing of the bill, though.

Legally, minors aren't allowed to have sex.Im talking to a couple of females who are really scared to tell their mothers that they lost there virginity. I have know idea why, i mean if you lost your virginity at 17, wouldnt not telling them and being dishonest hurt them even more then telling them when they're 26 or something? When is a good time to break that to them? They usually give me the answer, "i'll do it when im ready'. Thoughts? Any mothers or even fathers that have daughters out there?Space_Cowboy7
But what if it is interferring with the relationship of the two people cuz the mother is babying her? Is it good to tell her then? I know their are pros and cons....Space_Cowboy7
Psssht, I'm still trying to figure out how to tell the family I'm pregnant, but when I manage that...I'll let you know_Marisa_
Say it, and then really quickly follow it up with something much more shocking and out of your control.
