I play tennis and am 13. I do some pushups and crunches every day usually and I wanted to know when you people started working out. I have a fast serve right now but I want it to be even faster

Well I play tennis and it's a bit different for that.  You get a faster serve by being able to swing your racket faster, so it's not about lifting heavy weights.  Focus on smaller weight with more reps to build up endurance and work on the twitch muscles rather than get bulky.  Pushups should work well and smaller weights for your arms and shoulders.

Best thing is to ask your coach. Only pro's and people who see you play will be able to tell you what you should do best.

you can run, do push-ups and sit-ups anytime you want but i suggest lifting weights when you are in HS. It can cause you not to grow to your full height or cause stretch marks if you lift too soon
