When the word Islam comes up what do you think of?

Be honest.Im taking World Religion and found some interesting stuff about Islam.But its sad how majority of people in America would rather listen to the Idiot Box(Television,Fox News :lol: ) rather then learn and get to actually know some people. When I think of Islam I think of one of the worlds largest Religion, People of the Book, etc. I dont know much of "People of the Book" because im Buddhist.

When I hear the word Islam, I just think it's another religion.

I think "religion" whilst sighing and rolling my eyes, its not something I care about.

I think of a religion, followed by my Muslim friends.

First word I think of is terrorism but I don't think all people of the Islam religion are terrorists. Just the first thing that comes to my mind if you want people to be honest. I have never met a single person in real life who follows Islam so that could be why I don't really connect it to anything else

I know all Muslims aren't terrorists. I know that Islam isn't a hateful 'evil' Western hating religion that it is made out to be. But whenever the word Islam or muslim comes up in the media, most of the time it is associated with terrorism so that's probably why it's the first word that comes to my mine.

I think of Islam when I hear Islam.

I look upon my experience in Saudi Arabia and my Muslim friends, the former being dreadful and the latter being somewhat meh.
