When to get a girlfriend?

Okay so Im in 7th grade and I haven't had a girlfriend yet. I have friends that are girls and everything and I really havn't thought about dating much because I dont think im ready and dont really want a girlfriend yet. But people have been bugging me saying "why haven't you dated yet" and things like that. What Im wondering WHATS THE RUSH IM IN 7th GRADE! and a lot of people have dated but it never lasts longer than a month (rarley) So I want to know what grade were you in and how old were you when you had your first date or actuall relationship?

Im in 11th grade... never dated anyone (then again im a celibate...)

Really though, atleast wait until youre in High School, middle school dating is just...pointless:|

That is not true.

You don't need a girlfriend to to be happy.

THere is no age where you start to date or start to love. Love comes naturely.

Just let time run it's course.

And look at her now, married and doing incredibly well in school.

In short, girlfriend is not a need. Just enjoy life and when that person comes, you'll know it, 

When you are good and ready to get one. It's not a race or anything there will be plenty of girls out there if you want to start dating at 15 or 50.darklord888

By the way, you're extremely young to have one anyway imo. Focus on school for now.

yea im really social and stuff like I've been to parties and hang out with friends close to every other day I just dont feel that need or even want to have a girlfriend well I dont comform to society much either which plays a role in the fact that im not pressured into having a girlfriend...

I always felt pressured to date. Heck, i wanted to date just because i thoguth it could be fun.

I'm changed so much though....

Society is confusing to say the least.

I agree that Middle School dating is pointless, but I kinda find it fun. I "went out" with two girls in 6th grade which lasted pretty short. I'm in eight grade now and my girlfriend and I have been going out for like 8 months now.hokey-pokey18

But it's true that little 5th graders can't get an erection, but strangely, I started getting frequent erections when I was around 4th-5th grade, but it really started happening all the time to me when I was in 6th grade.

I would say 9th grade and 10th grade not 11 and 12th

the reason to get a gf in 9 and 10th grade is the realation ship mite not last to long

and just to have one early

the reason not to get one in 11 and 12th grade is you need time to get ready for college

and if you get one then it most likely she's not going to the same college as you

I'd say 15 or 16 is about the time you start. For a guy it's a little more tricky because you can't drive a car until you are 16. If you haven't been on a date by 18 or 19, there might be a problem. If you get to be about 20-21, and you've still gotten no where, there is a big problem. At that point, I would say something is wrong with you.

Just being social is the biggest key. Get out of the house. Go do activities with people, and don't be afraid to interact. If you sit in the house every day playing video games, then that's all your life will ever be. Video games are fun, but real life is a lot better. Don't be afraid to live it.
