Well? Everyone these days seems to be using google chat or facebook chat? I kind of still like AIM and having a separate client for it. I dunno, I know fb chat gets kind of wonky and says people have signed out when they haven't or I have signed out when I am clearly still online. And google chat I have used a few times and there are some weird hiccups with that as well. I dunno, AIM and MSN used to be pretty flawless unless the whole system was down, otherwise, they were rock solid. Yeah, but wasn't xfire even kind of going out? I thought it was pretty awesome back in the day, but now people use use steam chat for that stuff I guess. I dunno, I guess it depends how old you are. If you are under like 20 atm, you probably didn't get that AIM/MSN were like the big thing.
I still use MSN messenger daily. I think it's a lot better than AIM, and it allows me to talk to people on facebook. Using the Facebook messenger from the browser is painful.
Just curious- what do you kids in the US use for chat now? Google chat and Facebook? My students keep asking me because everyone (and I do mean everyone) uses QQ in China, but I have no idea what anyone in the US uses anymore. When I left, AIM was still popular.

I have one friend that still uses it and he tells me to go on if he wants to talk to me. Other than that I don't really use any kind of instant messaging.
I'm on AIM right now. :P I still go on it every night. Facebook is too wonky for me and I don't always want to talk to everyone that I'm Facebook friends with.
