I like buying the physical disk. If the power is out in my house, I won't be able to listen to my music on my computer.

I'll be like that guy with the broken glasses that couldn't read the wealth of books he found in that one Twilight Zone episode. ;)

some people call me dumb but i like to buy the music that i really like. its amazing when i hear my teachers and my friends parents talking about the huge vinyl collections they used to have back in the 70s and 80s. I'd like to do the same with cds. all this downloading really proves is that music sucks these days. now that cds are dropping down to $10 a pop in most music stores, theres no reason why people shouldnt be buying cds. its like i like these songs, but not enough to pay for them. most of the cds i have are of old bands too. that says something.

I see what you mean, my dad has like 5,000 Vinyl Albums, and CDs of some Classic Rock, and stuff.

Lp's are making a comeback though, and CD's are great, cause they're portable, and cheaper then an mp3player

I think that eventually a service like iTunes will render CD's obsolete, but it won't be for a long while to come. I personally use a mix of downloading and buying music...it works great

I think the next thing to replace cd's is downloading, i don't think there will be anything else that will become remotely as popular as cd's
