I was just wondering around when most ofyou guys found Gamespot? I don't remember exactly how long ago it was but...it's been a long time. I remember reading GameSpot reviews around 10 years ago. Probably sometime around 1997/1998. I think I randomly stumbled upon it through a site called Demoland.com. The site doesn't exist anymore but it was the best place to download demos back then. Anyway, share your stories of discovery!

i was looking for cheats back around 2002 and i found gamespot, i wasnt a chatty person backthen. but around late 2003 i made a account, just to answer a question and i've been around here since (though i have taken a few breaks for gamespot :P). check mah bloggie for mah other account if you dont believe meh

I was searching for walkthroughs, and I found GameSpot. I was also trying to prove to this retard that the Sega Saturn was a real system.

I think it was at one of my mates house in 2002-03 they were just looking up the details for some game and I was like, wow, what is this website. Went home and had a look for myself, and then joined up later.

I was stumbling around while at school and tried videogames.com and here i was. I made this account when DAoC first cameout. Poedon was a short, easy to remember name that popped out of name generator.

Ithink I found Gamespot when I asked my stepdad if he knew a place where I could find cheat codes for Animal Crossing.This site is really helpful!I can't beleive I never knew they had forums till a few days ago!

I was looking to see if my computer could handle Half Life 2 in late 2004 I beleive, and there was a forum sticky about it which came up first on google. I didn't really stick around after that until about E3 2005 kinda time when I was MSIVEKY excited about the 360 and came on here multiple times a day (Aah, nostalgia). I mostly come here for OT nowadays, beacuse since University started, I havent had my 360 with me, it's back home, and it depresses me to look at gaming news (even though I really want to.)

I think the first time I went on gamespot was in 98, and I went to download a demo of some kind, but I really dont remeber what that demo was. Might have been SWAT 2.

The local newspaper ran a story years ago (maybe 2002-2003) about how the one guy started and maintained GameFAQs, so i checked it out, probably signed up then, and used that site for a number of years. And then we were all forced to upgrade to universal CNET accounts, and then in Nov 2005 i started coming here frequently, and now you can't peel me away:)
