Im planning a beach trip with a girl, but this question has always bothered me...

where the hell am I supposed to leave my stuff once im there? my carkeys I mean, I know I can leave the clothes and all that stuff in the car and they'll be safe, but where do I leave my carkeys? I cant tie them with a neckalce because A: Im afraid it will fall off while swimming/surfing and B: The keys are attached to the electrical controller, and im pretty damn sure its not waterproof.

It's not like on other keys where the key is one thing and the controller is just "ringed" to it, no, in this case they are the same thing, the controller is part of the key's "body".

So you can scratch the necklaces or attaching it to the swim trunks.

And im sure there are no lockers either.

Keep them in a bag with your towel; somewhere within your view at all times.

If your girl is with you then keep it in her purse if she brings that out to the beach. Lay a large towel out and that should be your spot. I go to the beach at least once every two weeks and noone ever messes with my stuff.

i'll keep the towel and the bags and all that stuff inside of the car, the only thing I need to have with me is the carkey.

Leave your phone and whatnot in the car. Don't bring anything you don't need really badly onto the beach with you.

EDIT: Scratch the last bit, I just saw you said NO lockers nearby. Go to a key shop and see if you can get a key cut that doesn't have a fob on the body of it. It's almost certain that you'll be able to. Shouldn't cost much, hardware stores do it. Then get some cheap corks from a dollar store, put the key on a good solid string, and thread the corks on either side of it. Then attach it either around your neck or tie it to your shorts or your girl's bathing suit top. I've always done that, or even just skipped the corks and tied it tightly with a rubber band to my top.

ya it sucks but. What most people do i would assume is hide them under their towel. or  something like this kinda sneaky like those lotion bottles

Even though this isn't safest. I never had issue with people touching my stuff

The goal is to make it that you have anything worth taking.

Also If it's car keys You can get one those magnets box and stick it under your car when you get out

Usually when I go to the beach I take a bag and towel with me and just leave it all in one spot within view. Never had anything of mine stolen at the beach. It's too public to really be going around, looking through peoples bags and stuff.

sadly for some reason in this day in age No body says no and they just whip their phone out and record... Also why would you go through a bag you just stole where you found it? grab and go!

In your shoes. But push your stuff into the toe area. Thieves just look straight down into the heel and move on.

thats why I dont like those options, what if there are people who actually look under the car? or if someone see me putting them there? the "parking" spots are really crowded so a lot of people would see me putting them there and if its really so common then no one would get alarmed if a guy goes down and picks the keys.

Tie the car key to a good strong rope and tie that good to your wrist. Put everything else in the trunk of the car and make sure everything is locked up before walking away from the car. Now go have fun.

Most people either bury keys in the sand or put them in an empty sunscreen bottle.  I think you're over-thinking it a bit.  However, if you want to keep your keys with you, you can try getting a Nike jogging arm wallet.  Stick the keys in a plastic baggy to keep them watertight.  Stick the baggy in the arm-wallet.  Done.

You have a car with a keypad on the door and leave your keys/important stuff in there and use the code in your brain to open your door when you're ready to go home. That is what normal people do.

I should have mentioned this isn't an american beach. People will steal stuff here if they see no one is looking after them.

Done.

best solutuon so far [QUOTE="lo_Pine"]You have a car with a keypad on the door and leave your keys/important stuff in there and use the code in your brain to open your door when you're ready to go home. That is what normal people do.

still ridiculously expensive, I bet its over 100 dollars.

eh.. i've always just left my stuff on the beach... sure someone could steal it.. but what are the odds out of the hundred and hundreds of people at the beach my stuff is going to be stolen?

because it isnt america and there aren't half the people on the beach because it's not "beach season", and even then, the more people there is: the more dangerous it gets since people can actually get away from it easier, people around wont be paying attention to see who the real owner was, if some random dude decides to show up and takes the stuff, no one will think he's stealing them. My friends have had stuff stolen before, not car keys or anything like that but they had towels, bags, sunscreens and that crap you use to lay down on the sand. You can leave it with a family but trust me on this one they can leave whenever they want without letting you know...has happened before to me.
