I usually go in to book shops to have a good browse, then go home and order them on Amazon for a fraction of the price.

i get mine at barnes and noble. they are the only store around with a decent selection of books. their wide selection of movies is a draw too.

Being that most of my books are theology books and there is a Lifeway bookstore on my school campus (a Christian bookstore), I just go there if I do not order from Amazon.com. Having a student discount also encourages me to buy books there. :P

There's an independent bookstore downtown that I usually buy from, and my second option is a Borders.

I barely buy books, but usually thrift stores. I like buying a lot if I do buy books.

Amazon, mostly. I do poke around in thrift stores for books, though, as you can score great books for quarters.

Borders and sometimes Half-Price. I don't usually buy internet because, for me, there's nothing quite like the feeling of walking into a building jammed to the ceiling with books

Amazon, for the most part. They're very cheap and they have pretty much any book you'd want.
