I buy mine at thrift stores. New novels can cost anywhere from $5-15 at a regular store, but the same books at a thrift store only cost $1-2.

Best. Deals. Ever.

I tend to pick them up at thrift stores, library sales, and whatnot. I tend to be an adventurous reader and also enjoy public domain books, so I can usually find something that interests me wherever I look.

I've been mostly buying Kindle books lately, so Amazon. And any physical books I get are also from Amazon. Amazon is pretty wonderful.

I don't buy books. I borrow them from the library. Same goes for my music, movies, magazines and video games. I get almost everything I could possibly want from the library. It's also free to get your card.

Usually Amazon, but I had some gift cards left over from Christmas for Chapters/Indigo and went to an Indigo last night and bought Carl Sagan's "Cosmos," Coleman Barks' "The Essential Rumi," and Alan Moore's "Watchmen." Comparatively expensive to what I could have got them for, but I enjoy looking through a book in my hands before buying it. It adds something to the experience that feels cold and sterile in an online transaction. Even when the book is a physical copy and ships to my home.

There are three used book stores within easy driving distance of me that I buy physical books from, when I can't find them in the library or in e-book form. The best of the three (Flights of Fantasy) has such an incredible selection of new and used sci-fi and fantasy, not to mention PnP RPG sourcebooks and CCGs, that I can get completely lost in there for hours.
