IKEA is hell on earth. I don't want to talk about it. haloraider
Lol you work at an IKEA too? Yeah it does get bat crazy.
I'm a cook and sometimes cashier at a burger joint on my campus.
I like it for the most part, I get free food, there's a t.v. to watch if its dead, and nobody complains (which is a big plus, its great not having to put up with whiney adults and annoying kids)
I only hate it if its really busy, because some of my co-workers are lazy, and it takes forever to get all the orders done.
I work at a grocery store, and that job is a piece of ****. In addition to my hours being completely ****ed up, I'm always getting ****ed in some other way.
Like, the people who I work with are ****ing idiots. Hell, no, that;s being unfair. They aren't idiots. If they were idiots, I wouldn't mind so much. The problem is that they're ****ing lazy and don't give a ****. For example, every single day I straighten up my department. Come back the next morning, and I find random **** dumped all in my department. But its stuff like, deli cheeses in my cheese section. That kind of thing. Stuff that a customer would NEVER put there, so it had to be an employee. Whoever is getting paid to put that **** back is just saying "****, I don't give a ****", and then just throwing it somewhere so they can go home. Meanwhile I have to waste my ****ing time fixing these people's mistakes. Mistakes that they make EVERY ****ING DAY.
Then there are the customers. Like, the othe day, some dude asked me for help with the Coinstar machine. He had put his money in, and was wondering how to get his receipt. So I walked over and looked on the screen, and there were a few options. I then turned and looked at the guy and said, "Sorry, I can't help you. I don't speak Spanish."
Then he's like, "I don't speak Spansih either."
And I said, "well, why did you choose Spanish as the language? I don't speak Spanish. You know what this means just as well as I do."
Then he says "but I thought I was choosing English."
And I'm thinking, "can this mother ****** READ?!"
I mean, for god's sake. If you can read, then you know that English means English. Why in the bloody **** would you press the ****ing button that says "espanol"? I mean, Jesus H Christ, What the **** is wrong with these freaking people? I've got people messing with me for stupid ass crap ALL THE TIME just because they can't read. Are THAT many people really completely ****ing illiterate? God damn, the instructions are CLEARLY given. READ the damn instructions. Fricking hell, I get this kind of crap almost every damn day.
Anyway, my other job has its bad moments too, but at least I get discounts on beer, and after work I can hang around getting drunk. That's sort of nice. Overall, I like that job a LOT. It's harder on me, but It's a lot more enjoyable. My other job, OTOH, just makes me want to murder people.

No, I don't expect a goddamn thing. That's the problem. My days don't turn bad, they start out bad because every single day I drive to work wondering how my "teammates" ****ed me over again.
At least at my other job, I can expect to be treated with respect, and not have my "teammates" **** me over on a daily basis.
And that really makes all the difference. Because when yo go to work KNOWING that you're gonna get ****ed, it's gonna be a bad day. Even if it's one of those rare days when your "teammates" DON'T **** you over, you're gonna spend all damn day wondering how you're gonna get ****ed over, and that's gonna ruin your day anyway.
I used to work at a share registrar as a liason between the registrar and the client companies, but my last day was yesterday. I hated the job, the company and the people around me. I'm taking a period of two months of voluntary unemployment to basically play Sins of a Solar Empire all day every day.
Not sure what I'm going to do next. All my qualifications and experience are oriented towards officework, but I want to try something completely different.
Not sure what.

so either stop wondering about that or quit your job. both choices aren't hard at all.I currently work at a pizza place near campus as a delivery driver. I like it because its fairly easy, I get to drive more than actually work, listen to my own music/radio, I have awesome co-workers and bosses who all smoke weed (even in the restaurant before/after hours), I make atleast $20 a night in tips, but often in the 30s.
My last job was awesome too, I worked at an indoor motocross facility and got to build/design motocross tracks. Sweet job but I had to move to go to school.
And another job that I work at occasionally is a vinyard being a field b**** and sometimes actually in a winery labeling or bottling wine.

Dude, don't freaking tell me what to do. Do I know you? Who are you to me? Is there any reason why I should do one single freaking thing that you tell me to?
In case YOU couldn't read, the topic was about whether or not we liked our jobs. I answered the question by saying that I did, and that I didn't. And I gave my reasons why. If you have a problem with that, perhaps it was a stupid frigging idea to read a topic that's ASKING people to complain about their jobs.
But regardless, you DON'T know me. You DON'T know jack *** about my personal situation, and you don't know what I'm doing about it, so what the hell good are your orders to me?

1. your post made me laugh for some reason 2. touche 3. calm the **** down. there's no need to overreact.Mr. Geezer gets my respect, he is probably my favorite poster on here because he actually puts time and effort into making quality posts, I only wish more people would scuttle in his footsteps.D-C-
I love his untamed fury. If he could've spoken to Ugly Betty she wouldn't have had a sitcom. He's just that ballistic.

very nice vocab usage, I agree though, he is the best
I work at WinCo *formerly known as Waremart Foods* and I enjoy throwing freight... but starting next week they'll have me be working Maintenance... It might be fun and educational, but at least I won't have to put up with some of the stupid crap I get from certain co-workers... I just wanna punch one of them for trying to be a badass... damned shrimp didn't have to smack me with cardboard... >__> I seriously dislike some/most people and that makes me feel good.
i work in a grocery store. my job is to bag groceries, take them out to ppls cars and unload it, take out trash, clean bathrooms, clean up messes, straighten shelves...it has its ups and downs.MarioFanatic
I did that before... I quit since a few co-workers were old ****. :x Everytime I would go off to do something else important to my job they'd complain about how I was HIDING. >__> Also I was still in college and got sick of everyone requesting Sunday off... as well as it was an 8 hour shift with NO lunch break... and no raises were ever given to me. :|

Hey man, been a while!
Where do you work?
I worked at a grocery store bagging groceries for a ****ING YEAR! and you know what i got for it? nothing! not even a chance of changing position or a raise or even a pat on the back! **** YOU ALBERTSONS!! SUCK MY ****!
But it wasnt nearly as torturous as being a telemarketer. WOW! THAT place made me want to punt kittens in a big way! so i just stopped showing up.
I've had many more jobs but i wont bore you. Now a days im working for a place called Chrysalis where i watch R-Tards. It's ok. The down side is i have to stay awake the whole time and put up with all their ****. but i can bring my xbox and computer and stuff and just play all the xbox live i want. but I work a 22 hour shift then i get 12 hours off then i work a 25 hour shift. its good hours but the pay kinda sucks too unless you go into management.
Now i have a 2nd job working for a nice movie theater. FREE MOVIES FTW! i get to see any movie i want the day before it comes out plus free movies for me and a friend any time. not bad. not bad at all
