Hey OT. What job do you have and do you enjoy it?

College dining hall dish room.
Some days aren't bad, some days suck, the pays nice, some cool people there. Overall I like it. Not something I want to do for the rest of my life though.
Student. I love every minute of it, and I have the slightly above a quarter of a million dollar debt to prove it!
That dont impressive me much, oh oh, you got the looks but have you got the touch. I am so sorry for writing that.Student. I love every minute of it, and I have the slightly above a quarter of a million dollar debt to prove it!

Ya i am only part time as well. I would probably kill myself before working full time there
I work at a grocery store myself. Not a bad gig for a college student.
I do lust for those investment banking jobs, however...

When I worked at an AIr Force Base Commissary (a grocery store) I had the greatest time. However, I had a "all-purpose" position. I was sad when I left that job.[QUOTE="Colin1192"][QUOTE="Agent-Zero"] Me too. I used to not mind working there. I was sad when I left that job.In my case it's more the owner and managers that irk me. I dont really do much, wander around the store it's just the people higher on the totem pole who think they are better than me cuz I am a student
I started working at Starbucks last week.
Though still learning, I think I'll enjoy the job. However, I now know why many people complain about working with the general public. As an example, today someone complained to my manager about the fact that I carry a small Bible in my back pocket. How is carrying a personal belonging in my pocket offensive? :|
With that said, I'm going to seminary to eventually become a pastor.

Why is someone staring that hard at your rear end?I started working at Starbucks last week.

Sounds like this person was staring at your bum bum, but then became angry when they saw a bible and remembered that all Catholics believe homosexuals go to hell. This then caused the angered customer to complain about you. Poor guy, I feel his pain :(I started working at Starbucks last week.

Why is someone staring that hard at your rear end?The neon pants might have had something to do with it....clayron
That was a joke btw.

I don't have a job at the moment, but the last job I had was at a Hallmark store. I hated every second of it.t3hrubikscubeWait wait wait, you worked at the biggest greeting card company and couldn't swing for an "International GS Off-Topic Day." Rubikscube, we are disappoint.
I make beer for a living, I am a brewer. And no, the job isnt as fun as you think. Its better than you think haha.
No, seriously...its a tough job. And its not all sitting around drinking beer, either. Truth be told, I generally dont drink at all at work. Maybe an ounce or two here and there strictly for quality control purposes, but I dont walk around with pint in hand. I think that would be disrespectful, and worse for my health than I really need.
Its a lot of cleaning, and we are so small I pretty much have to do everything from make the beer to working the tasting room to sweeping and mopping the floors.
But its extremely rewarding making such a good product (and it is good, I am a very good brewer lol) and sharing it with people. I love seeing the joy in their faces, its one of the reasons why I think beer is genuinely divine
i work for the city of new york...im basically a clerk....kinda sucks but it supports my gaming expense and pays the bills
[QUOTE="CrisisFrmTheSky"]Dude, that is a lot of debt. I managed to escape college with only 50K. Call me a dreamer, but I hope to get out of college with no debt. :)Student. I love every minute of it, and I have the slightly above a quarter of a million dollar debt to prove it!

The thing is I actually graduated faster than the vast majority of my friends. I did well enough in high school to initially get enough scholarships and graduated from my university before they ran out.[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"][QUOTE="mindstorm"] I am proof that it is possible. The thing is I didn't even have to look, they just seem to have appeared out of no where... Keeping a 3.0 GPA throughout college was the only thing I was required to do to maintain the scholarships aside from filling out a few forms every year. When I think of private sector I think of mercenary work. Now, I know that image is based off of television and video games, so I ask: what do you mean by private sector, and how would it be different?I'm in the Army. I like it okay. I've been looking to go private sector, but nothing's come of it.
