I DO NOT CONDONE BREAKING ANY LAW OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

With all the technology available...i wonder...why isn't there a replacement to our poor people addicted to drugs. Sure they are physically addicted; but we need to think like them to find a cure.

Ear technology: build a device that distorts everything you hear

Eye technology: build a device that distorts everything you see

Im talking customization. if you want your device to see the world in negative color, than you set it. If you want to hear far out but with echos, then you set it.

No more physical abuse. What do you think?

The closest thing I've heard of to digital drugs is I-Doser, and even that doesn't work on a lot of people.

People think on their own. You can tell them bigfoot is in their living room and they do not have to believe you. So, people have their mind made up that they need an effect that distorts reality. Using drugs is like saying I don't care about anyone but myself and I myself live my own unique reality. Hey its just true people don't like how life works out so they resort to a method of changing reality. Going out listening and seeing things all distorted; it would make people feel secure because they don't have to comply to what others perspectives. Me, playmynutz, I quit even herbs, I'm 5 days clean

chaoscougar1, Your telling me it would not be a good idea for everyone to lay off the physical damage and get on some technology distortion? just for the crazy people can handle another day. I'm thinking it could get bi-polar, multi-personality, etc.(psychotic problems) people off drugs

You guys wouldn't want to see the world in some Call of Duty night vision mode?

sorry its sleep time i read yall later

You obviously just don't know much about how drugs work. There's special receptors in your brain that react to different chemicals. The euphoria produced by this reaction is not usually something that most people can trigger on demand without the use of these chemicals, unfortunately. Some people can get like "runners high", "punch drunk" etc... and you can get euphoria from sex, and other types of endorphin rushes from like... eating spicy food etc. But you can't just "simulate" what a drug does to you, because the body is a very complex system and without that drug there is no true impairment. We shouldn't need a "drug emulator" anyways. If you can control yourself and don't get completely addicted to them, don't let them change who you are as a person, and don't take them so much to the point where it's significantly damaging your body/mind, and don't let them affect you taking care of your body, then you shouldn't have to feel bad for getting buzzed if you feel like. Don't do anything illegal, don't do anything stupid, and don't do anything you know nothing about. Of course there's plenty of drugs that arguably aren't that bad, and ones you should try to stay as far away from as possible, but let's not get into that. Try to stay away from them as best as you can, but if you REALLY feel like you "need"(I use that term loosely, you rarely ever "need" drugs) something to take the edge off, just be smart about it, know your limits, and don't do the types of drugs that tend really ruin people's lives like coke, heroin, meth, etc. That's how I feel about the whole situation. Why can't we all just have a bit more self control? Drugs can be really helpful and stress reducing for a lot of people, not everyone should feel bad for taking them.

Those are some good points but sometimes it's more complicated then that even. I honestly believe that there are genetic dispositions for addiction and that even a person who has fantastic self control can have uncontrollable urges to become altered by using drugs.

You would just have people addicted to the technology that is supposed to stop people from being addicted to drugs. It would ruin lives all the same, even if one is physically more healthy than the other. If you are addicted to heroin a heroin emulator, (for lack of a better word), with no physical ramifications would ruin your life.

No matter how developed we get, there will always be people who want to escape their lives. It will end up in some kind of addiction, including drugs.

Doesn't work on a lot of people? It doesn't work on anyone. It's a god damned scam and the only people who buy it are punk kids thinking their so hardcore for doing fake drugs.
