I don't know, but it doesn't matter to me because I don't consider any of them to be wrong.Funky_LlamaThey are considered "sins" and "wrong" because they define extremes of behavior that has been deemed bad for society. 1 - Greed: excessive desire to acquire or possess more (especially more material wealth) than one needs or deserves 2 - Pride: unreasonable and inordinate self-esteem 3 - Envy: spite and resentment at seeing the success of another 4 - Wrath: belligerence aroused by a real or supposed wrong 5 - Sloth: apathy and inactivity in the practice of virtue 6 - Gluttony: eating to excess 7 - self-indulgent sexual desire As you can see, they are only actually considered to be sinful when they are experienced/practiced in excess, or in ways that are harmful to others or society as a whole.

I suppose while not wrong per se, they can ultimately have bad consequences.

Which motivates you to work harder for your goals. 2. It helps you feel good about yourself. 3. It makes you want to perform better. What's wrong with that? 4. If you have done something to cause wrath,be ready to incur some.We all are not saints. 5. There is a time to work and there is a time to relax. 6. What's wrong with indulging in a little extra helping. To those of you are going to say that you are eating other people's food and there are starving children in the world,SO WHAT?It's not as is that particular piece of food was going to reach those children.Heck, even the government food is not able reach properly.I live in a third world country and I know about this.Just wanted to stress this point a little as people bring up this argument with no sense and it pisses me off. 7. Anything within moderation is good. But I think in the bible it is said that even one more partner other than your wife is a sin.

Really? Life would be pretty damned depressing if we lost those things. Things may be alot more peaceful. However, for all of the understanding and peace that may arise from it, we lose almost all of the things that motivate us and lead us to happiness. It would basically be hell on earth.
