All 5 of those are ok. They all have their amazing roles but I have seen them all in really crap movies to so its hard to choose. Nicholson will get my vote because One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is just amazing and he has so many other awesome movies as well of course.

I will have to say though that About Schmidt... why Jack... why did you have to stick an image of a naked Kathy Bates in my head. It will never go away now =(

Damn, I voted for DDL and did not see Nicholson. Oh, well.

My personal answer is Brad Pitt.

Actually I've noticed that has gone down quite a bit, thankfully. Another actor that used to be like that, Leonardo Dicaprio, is also one of my favorite actors. The Aviator is the best performance of the decade in my bold opinion.

Out of yours I would go with Ben Kingsley.

asd

My personal choice would probably be William Powell who is just a joy to watch no matter what movie he's in.

George Clooney is always good. Morgan Freeman.

However, the best actor, and not just for his voice: James Earl Jones. He made a B-movie like Conan the Barbarian watchable from an acting stand point.

Nah just kidding, I was going to say Edward Norton but he was already a choice.

Ben Kingsley, and Daniel Day lewis are much better than the others. Kingsley has been taking a lot of bad roles recently. He was great in The Wackness though. Jack Nicholson is pretty much a parody of himself these days. Edward norton is pretty good but he never really impressed me much other than The 25th hour. Kevin Spacey is good too, but he has been a bit hit and miss recently. I saw him in Swimming with sharks though which is a fantastic underrated dark comedy.

Daniel Day Lewis, definitely. Although he doesn't star in many films nowadays, he is right for all the roles he chooses. Awesome actor.

If this was ten years ago, I would've said Kevin Spacey...but since he's just about disappeared in the past decade, I'll go with Daniel Day-Lewis.

I thought The Wackness was lame, who was Kingsley the therapist? If so he was the only part of the movie I quite enjoyed. He was great.

Picked Norton. Daniel Day Lewis is just crazy (not the good kind). But overall favourite I'd have to go with Morgan Freeman. Whenever Morgan Freeman says something, you just feel compelled to sit down and listen to the man.

Ben Kingsley's the most compelling to watch, for me. His portrayals of psycho nut jobs in Sexy Beast and Death and the Maiden were so vivid it's scary.

Out of that pick I chose Kevin Spacey. Even though he only has one face expression he's still good.

Daniel Day Lewis is awesome actor but I hate every single film he has ever been in, not his fault.
