As in vanish, I mean you never hear anything about them anymore? Shelley Duvall comes to mind (Wendy Torrance from The Shining) apparently she lives a quiet life somewhere in Texas now.

She is still in the occasional film. She was in that Drew Barrymore film Whip It recently. I didn't know about the Scientologist part though.

I really want to see Val Kilmer in more films. There was a time in the 90's when he was huge, but he mostly does direct to dvd films these days. Last good one I saw him in was Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Shame, he is a very good actor.

LOL.. I used to like Val Kilmer too. Now he's old and fat. I guess he's lost much of his appeal due to that.

I don't see enough Patrick Stewart lately. He plays professor X, but no more Jean-Luc Picard for him.

I forgot about Elizabeth Shue, and Michael Keaton. I though she had a great career ahead of her after seeing Leaving las vegas, but looking at her imdb most of her roles after Leaving Las vegas have been depressingly bad. Michael Keaton pretty much vanished after that crappy ghost film White Noise. He directed The Merry Gentleman recently which was pretty good but I cant think of much else.

What about Bad Lieutenant? It was pretty good, but it lost some steam by the end (unless you were just talking about recent movies that he had a starring role in). I was actually surprised at how good Nicholas Cage was.
