Which comics company do you like best and why?

I personally like DC comics the best. I like their characters more than Marvel's. To me, Marvel is kind of pretentious and downbeat. DC has this sort of legendary feel to it. I haven't really read enough of the others to opine about them. What about you guys?

Marvel, I like their special events that use the whole universe. In my opinion, Civil War is some of the best comics material I ever read.

Marvel's main characters have a stronger sci-fi backing to their powers (radiation, mutation, etc.). DC seems a little too heavy on magic, gods, and aliens.

And yes, I am aware of the exceptions, so don't bother citing them.

Marvel, all the way. All DC has going for it is Batman and that guy who runs around wearing his underwear outside in a blue latex suit with a giant S plastered on his chest. Oh yeah, Superman. Why was he ever popular?!enterawesome

DC, as they have more major super heroes (though I hate superman).

I respect Dark Horse more, as they are willing to take more risk.

That and they license this in the US...

Second would be Vertigo/DC they have some great comics.

I can't understand why people love batman so much.

My favorite comic book company is Archie because of the Sonic the Hedgehog comics but out of the main companies it would be Marvel because of the characters they got I like and currently my third favorite comic book the main Deadpool series.
