America or England? who has more of a love affair with booze?
in terms of social acceptance; from the rate of weekend warriors to hardcore alcoholics. which country of people generally gets more wasted than the other?

In terms of most drinking probably germany, ireland, U.S, and russiaimaps3fanboyI've heard tales that Australia pretty much kicks our a** when it comes to drinking.

[QUOTE="Serraph105"][QUOTE="imaps3fanboy"] Have you been to the midwest?imaps3fanboyon vacation yeah. Well, up here in the illinois/wisconsin area everyone drinks, a lot. but I rarely leave the area so I don't know how the rest of the country is
I live in South Dakota so I second that the midwest drinks a lot. There is nothing else to do in this forsaken land. I am actually drinking as I type this

i think we, belgians, from belgium have the worst drinking culture We have the best beers, that makes us drink a lot. No country can match us in terms of quality of beer.evildead6789
This is true, lived in brussels for a little while.
However when it comes to quantity not quality, scotland and Ireland.

Scotland or Ireland definitely out of those.inoperativeRS

the average night out (im a Scot) i can polish of bout 5 pints, a few double and a bout a tenner of shots :P its been waining though as i've lost a lot of weight and my overall tolerance towards the demon drinks went down.
On top of that i only drink maybe a couple times a month.
Britain has one of the highest drinking rates in the world, shocking new figures have revealed. The average drinker in the UK has 15-and-a-half litres of pure alcohol a year - the equivalent of 775 pints of beer. That's the same as 500 glasses of strong wine or 1000 shots of whisky or other spirits. Only eastern European countries such as Russia, Croatia and Estonia drink more.EmpComyeah they drink like crazy in Croatia, atleast the parts i have been to and the croatians over in western australia will usually drink beers and pints casually throughout the day
You have Scotland and Ireland combined, each one individually puts either America or England to shame (well depending on how you are looking at it anyway).
In terms of most drinking probably germany, ireland, U.S, and russiaimaps3fanboyI seriously doubt that Germany is the worst. Norway has a way worse drinking culture than most countries in the world, if not the worst

England has its moments, Newcastle was probably more riotous the last time we went down there for a weekend than a usual night out in the Burgh :P which to be honest is a timid place we tend to just steal traffic cones and generally sing and dance about the streets on the way for a nightbus home.
England is pretty bad. A few times I've seen scantily-clad girls in the paper go to town in cold weather and some of them are getting sick on the pavement.
Russia is a country killing itself with Alcohol its one of the leading reasons why Russia's population is declining due to Alcoholism killing them at young ages its not the countries only problem but its one of its worst problems they alsohave problems such as low birth rate due to the cost of living and children dying of aids or hepatitis due to underage prostitution deaths now out number births in Russia because of all those factors .
I tend to think America has a pretty bad drinking culture, but that's from my experience dealing with drunks in my area.
New Zealand, you aussies can have your schooners while we drink from Jugs and Funnels. Binge drinking is massive here, and everyone does it, not just the students and teenagers, plus Alcohol is far cheaper here, even your Australian beers are cheaper here than in your own country. The Hyde street keg party is legendary.
All in all it is pretty discusting, all anyone talks about is going out and getting "wasted" every night, even the people with a family.
