Which decade do you consider to have the best music?
50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, today? Other?
Tough call for me, but I'd go 70's.
Sabbath, Zeppelin, the Doors, Pink Floyd, the Who, ACDC...the list could go on and on.
What's your pick?

80's-2000 , 2000 is when the good music stopped
80's maiden and rush(rock) , 90's pearl jam and nirvana (grunge)
The 80's was the worst decade on record for music! The Synthesizer was just starting to mature and become mainstream as a pop music tool, and the infantile way in which it was used was blatantly evident. Also, this was the decade of money, power, Rolex's, big record exec's, BMW's, turtle-neck sweaters, and just obnoxious tasteless overbearingness in general!
Today's 80's retro is just picking the best of what that decade had to offer (New Order; Tears for Fears; Soft Cell, etc), and leaving the rest behind, thank god...
As for metal, that was a different story, and completely off the "popular" radar back then, and possibly for the better...

The very best to offer...but if you only listen to the mainstream radio you wouldn't know that.[QUOTE="ConfessiBear"]The 80's was the worst decade on record for music! During MY 80's I was listening to Kreator, Exodus, Metallica, Death, Rigor Mortis, CandleMass, and the like, and all our girlfriends were listening to the stuff you just mentioned. We loved them and they loved us, so I guess it's all cool. Bob Mould and Frank Black were good though. My appreciation for that stuff came in the 90's while in college.
