Slavery, since it has encompassed human civilization for millions of years and still continues to this day.
[QUOTE="uhoh_hotdogs"]More than hundreds. Slavery has been around since 6000 BC (Ancient Egypt for example).Slavery, it was around for hundreds of years and affected millions of lives.
MrPraline
80 hundred. :P
I'm gonna say slavery.
I think it takes a much worse person to enslave a human being than it does to kill one.

Yes, it has.
All of those you listed are very horrible and I wish they had never happened. I voted the holocaust as the most unforgivable though.
How can you put those first three in the same category as The Holocaust and Slavery? :? Anyway, it's a really tough choice between The Holocaust and Slavery, but I'll have to go with the Holocaust.chessmaster1989
because it is my topic :P
Also Saddam Hussein did some pretty nasty stuff, for instance
prisoners being killed by being fed through industrial shredders
chemical warfare
his death count is at an estimated 500,000
but no one will be sure as he burned alot of bodies and dumped alot in unmarked graves
I think the poll is a bit slanted as the first three really can't stand up to the last two. Anyways,I say slavery. More people and families were affected, it lasted for a much longer time, it led to deaths in the millions, and perhaps worst of all it was considered legitimate by a great many people over a great many years.
of the choices..I'd say the holocaust, cuz it caused more deaths out of the rest combined.......but also Joseph Stalin's reign of terror would be comparable..he was responsible for some 20+ million deaths while he was in power..

You're saying more people died in the holocaust than slavery? Epic fail.

how is that? you care to show somewhere that shows how many people died from slavery? Yes it was a very terrible thing to do, but most lived out their lives..but if you asked me, since they didn't get to choose their own lifestyle, and were forced to be a slave, then you could say that their lives were taken....on a side note, there are rough estimates of how many died, either by murder or death on their way to the US..and it is around 10 million....you have to remember slaves were valuable to owners..they would not want them dead...I'm not trying to sound like I am for it...I think it was just as terrible as the holocaust...except victims of the holocaust were just flat out murdered by the thousands per day for no reason other than what they believed in and what they looked like....
I pick slavery. Its been around since the beginning of time. Billions have died from slavery. America had a chance to slop slavery way back then but they ****ed up and did the 3/5 compromise.
Hollacaust. Slavery may be unethical, but it has the potential to be very productive, while genocide is just destructive.
[QUOTE="DiegoWaffle"]How did George Bush get bundled in with the rest of those?Dark__LinkSeriously...
It's my poll and I will do as I please.
Just because I put that up their does not mean I think it is on the same level as the last 2. I put it their because it popped into my head.
Slavery and the Holocaust are the only two up there anyone could possibly seriously vote for, and they're both quite horrible. I'll pick the Holocaust, however, for how people's thought processes led them to support such a thing: where we went from believing slavery to be right and then changing our beliefs for the better, everybody knew murder, genocide and eugenics was evil and yet went from that to supporting these actions wholeheartedly.
We grew out of slavery, but we grew into the Holocaust. That is frightening.
I can't choose between Slavery and the Holocaust. People were experimented on during the Holocaust, so I've heard, and I also heard that during Slavery in the States, slave owners would "breed" their slaves to have traits suitable for labor. Both these things are horrible, and IMO unforgiveable.hydralisk86
For sure. One doctor sewed two twins by their backs. That is the definition of F'd up. He did this with no anesthetics. The parents of the kids eventually killed them to end their suffering and misery. The doctor who conducted such filth died peacefully in South America.

It's not on the same level as any of those. :| It's not even on the same level as stealing candy from a baby. :|Slavery, it was around for hundreds of years and affected millions of lives.
uhoh_hotdogs
that was my thinking exactly but the holocaust was close 2nd
Going with the holocaust. Honestly, wasn't even a hard decision. raven_squadI don't know that the holocaust is so obviously ahead of slavery. Slavery affected more people, had longer lasting (to this day) implications that affects whole nations, and has been doing so for thousands of years. After all, African slavery in the US is not the only time in the Earth's history...
Slavery is a horrible thing, but generally slaves got to live and occasionally their masters were kind, while six million died in the holocaust for absolutely no purpose whatsoever.Head_of_gamesOnce a person is dead, they're dead. Nothing more can be done to them. But slavery (and it's impact) seemingly never ends, generation after generation impacted by it even after abolition...
