[QUOTE="GazaAli"][QUOTE="Engrish_Major"]Don't forget Sigur ros!Engrish_MajorI've never heard of them, maybe you can post some of thier good stuff to enlighten me :POh heck yes. I'm at work, so I can't post Youtube links, but try the song Saeglopur first (one of the most epic songs ever IMO). If you don't like that, then you won't like anything they do. It's post-rock, which is symphonic, crescendo-focused epics where the lyrics don't really matter - it's the atmosphere and building tension that is the focus. That said, give it a few minutes, as it is not an instant-gratification type of thing. ohhh I liked that, so surreal and other worldy. Will definitely be back for more of them thanks!

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"] I know. After all you form opinions based on pictures.:lol:LJS9502_basic
Ok, I'll play for a bit. Â The question asked "which European country (do) you prefer most? Â Â Nowhere in that question did it ask for a specific aspect of that country. Â Hence, I can look at pictures of the landscapes and pick a country I prefer most soley on the landscape. Â
I can't wait to hear you inane reply to that.Â
Most stupid post ever in OT. How the f*ck should one form an opinion without knowledge and experience.ÂWow, just wow.....  I prefer the way Germany looks over Italy.  I gained that knowledge and experience through seeing it with my own eyes..... Try again try hard!

and countries with great history, beautiful landscape and peaceful islands.
Didn't Greece have to sell off a lot of its most coveted island property to repay its bailout loans? :(
I seem to remember reading that German Chancellor Angela Merkel had pressured Greece into putting islands up for sale.
This was just an idea.As far as I am concerned, islands haven't been sold yet(probably only small and uninhabited ones have been sold, and I am not sure about that).
Still, that doesn't mean that they are not peaceful and nice to have holidays on.

Greece isn't even considered a developed country anymore.
Doesn't undo what I said.

High-unemployment doesn't affect tourists ;)

Unless they get robbed by the unemployed ;)
I think Greece has low crime, aside for the riots ;)
But really the correct answer is Portugal anyway :)
On a serious note, I like the UK. That would be my choice if I leave my country.
Wow.You are terribly wrong here.
Lets just say that it is not wise to be outside at night in some places in athens.
My identity was stolen 2 days ago,and many thefts occur everyday.
The countless immigrants add to the high crime rate too.

There are immigrants who actually want to live in Greece ? O oWe have many immigrants from countries like egypt and syria(for obvious reasons).
Also pakistanis(they are everywhre) and mostly albanians.
Life was good in greece until a few years ago, especially for immigrants. They could find job easily and most of them didnt even pay taxes.Just recently the government deciden to guard the borders more closely,to stop the influx of illegal immigrants.
They are atleast 3 million immigrants in greece.

Well, every major city has places where it is not wise to go at night. But I'll take your word for it, your Greek right?

They all have different good parts and bad parts, so I'm not sure. I'm going to go with either the Netherlands or Greece (specifically the islands).

[QUOTE="Engrish_Major"]Iceland was awesome. Really beautiful, not overcrowded, and clean air. I have a hunch that it's kind of a tough place to live, though, because of the weather and long periods of sun/darkness.GazaAliOh yes and Iceland. Such a beautiful small country that is often overlooked. Its amazing how a relatively isolated small country with a small population contributed to music. Soley, Bjork and MuM make amazing music.
and Of Monsters and Men.
Because OT has vast experience with all the European countries.....LJS9502_basicnot necessary to answer the OP
