So many unknown movies. I would look for each one, but I'm looking for German metal bands.

I would say get 8 1/2 or Days of Heaven. Breathless and Band of Outsiders are both good films, but they're far from Godard's finest, Masculin feminin. Bicycle Thieves is overrated and is basically an arthouse weepy, but I can understand it's historical significance in relation to on-location shooting and content.

fellini is the man. you should also check out amarcord and la dolce vita. if you haven't done so already you should also watch the discreet charm of the bourgeoisie, exterminating angel, the phantom of liberty, l'age d'or, il posto, divorce italian style, the conformist, a zed and two noughts, the draughtsman's contract, the holy mountain, el topo, and blow up. if you are looking for great surrealism or cinematography.

Most of those are already on my wishlist. I looked for Bunuel and Antonioni at my bookstore but I couldn't find any. I'll definitely be buying them when I make my next big purchase of films from online (when I get the money that is. I'm a tad short).

And to thisguy51, I've already seen Pan's Labyrinth
