All great choices, along with The Shawshank Redemption as stated above. I'd go with Saving Private Ryan though. That movie never gets old.

Excellent choice... The Punisher is awesome, although many have given it some heavy criticism. Forget Children of Men unless you are extremely Liberal, it's just got a lot of underlying political persuasion (boring and a waste of time).

I personally like drama with a little comedy or science fiction thrown in, so I would recommend these... Dan in Real Life, The Weather Man, Vanilla Sky

Or if you're more into epic movies, check these out (can't imagine you haven't): Gladiator, Braveheart, King Arthur, The Patriot
