I wouldn't buy from any company which has they're products in colors like "bling bling black" and "pink martini". For IEMs look at Shure, Etymotic, Ultimate Ears, Denon, Sennheiser or another proper hifi company (the first 3 are preferable as they specialise in IEMs)

Of those two I'd go with the V-Moda, they are actually a decent pair of cheap IEMs if you don't want to spend much, which seems obvious from the two options you listed.

Yeah I have a pair of Ultimate Ears and they work great.

V-Moda, makes good IEMs for low prices, but those will be a little bass heavy.

For $30 you won't be getting anywhere near audiophile quality, and you're not helping much by using an ipod.

But get these, imo best you can get for that price range.
