Well from what you state i would have to vote for Denmark, they pretty much ruled everything back in the viking age. Including Norway and Sweden. Also the first to travel to Greenland and claim it. But ill admit i think Norway has the best climate and most viking like.

Overall they are all pretty cool and they can all understand each other. They should form the United States of Scandinavia. The USS, would be damn awesome.

Finland by far. They beat the crap out of the russians in WW2 and indirectly lead to the defeat of the nazis. Hitler saw how bad russia fared against Finland and attacked russia which eventually lead to the downfall of the 3rd reich.

Yes, you DEFINITELY have to give little (population-wise) Finland credit for holding off the Soviet Union for a while before WWII. But these days, there is nothing remotely "badass" about anything or anyone from Scandinavia. Total wimps / wusses that their truly badass Viking ancestors would be ashamed of

I personally think the Norwegians who fought their German occupants during World War II were pretty badass, and so for that matter was the Danish resistance. Mannerheim and his men redefined the entire concept of badassness during the Winter War, and then you have the Swedish volunteers that drove trucks across the ice to Finland with food and medical supplies, and who went back and forth across the Norwegian border, helping Jews hide from the German trains and get them to safety... And I vote Sweden, of course. Fosterland! :DChiliDragon

Yet, how can you disagree with the badassery of the Finnish when they fought off the Russian Army and skinned the corpses of the fallen Russian soldiers, hanging the dried skins on the trees along the country's main road? Pretty badass. Plus, nowadays the Scandinavian countries are badass enough to have awesome healthcare, some of the most attractive women on the planet, an insanely high standard of living, and a very small poverty ratio. Pretty badass. ;)

Okay, I'll agree with you on the sex with beautiful women part...that is a VERY high standard of living.

I usually equate badassery with braveness, so the bravery that it takes to institute nearly socialized medicine is indeed brave, and very noble. They have the best healthcare in the world, and everyone can get it (my friend broke his back in Sweden and was treated for free - he never saw a single bill). The only sacrifice is the 42% income tax (those are the numbers for Sweden, I believe), but they don't have to pay for healthcare out of pocket, which saves a cubic buttload of cash.
