in order to prevent warnings of not to make thread topics from general game board, i got to put this topic here, overall this is a game website. i know most games will not always have all the selections, but sword, lance and longbow is all i want. there are many favorite classes/jobs which i like, but that also depends on what skills the game gives to that class/job and that also varies in every game, but the archer, thief and warrior are my favorite classes/jobs and there mixture would create a perfect fighter in my opinion.
Ranger/Hunter class. I'm not big on close up combat, and spells are kinda meh. Sniper or Support, because keeping their heads down and picking off the best player when they drop their guard is too much fun.
That depends on the genre of game. If it's historical or fantasy based. I'll either go for heavy hitting warrior types (eg. Barbarian, Knight), or the more diverse Thief/Assassin. In these cases, I've a soft spot for axes, crossbows and dark magic. However, in FPS with multiple classes I'm likely to choose either a close-combat specialist or sniper. As before, my tools of the trade are sniper rifles, shotguns and....well, anything.
For Fps I'm usually the generalist rifleman, especially when most other people on my team decide to be rambo a*holes and complain when they die in the first minute.
Support, either equipped with a machine gun or a RPG. Rifleman if I want too push an objective. EDIT: When rifleman I'm the guy whose like always **** pushing up and gunning down a bunch of ****** then getting gunned down myself. First I nade spam, then i go around the corner firing away.
In FPS... I am generally either a sniper or a standard rifleman/grunt. I have excellent stealth skills. Only in BF2 did I play as a support soldier... due to the fact you actually were able to get some points and because of the RPK.
In RPG... I am generally (if the RPG is open and non-linear) either a thief/assassin/rogue or a diplomatic heavy hitter.
Although, in video games I really like playing as everything once in a while.
FPS I like being the heavy weapons guy or vehicle specialist :P blowing things up is extremely fun ;) RPG, I play Guild Wars, and I like being the Warrior mainly because you can have 2 professions making it more versatile, I like being able to protect the backline support characters :P I'm nice like that

God I love my "Go For the Eyes! Barrager."
