I want to know what chat program people here use like Windows Live or AIM, things like that, and why do you prefer the program you use over the others?

I use AIM and Yahoo. The reason I use AIM is because I still have friends on AIM, and the reason I use Yahoo is because I have friends who use programs other than AIM, and AIM wont let me chat with someone out of AIM.

Edit- I forgot to mention I use Skype, too.

Windows Live is popular here in the UK, we all call it msn. Only Asians use Yahoo.

Windows Live is popular here in the UK, we all call it msn. Only Asians use Yahoo.CBR600-RR

But why do we call it MSN? Seriously, i have no idea.

I use MSN Messenger for my close friends :) Afoxthatrox@hotmail.com and I use AIM/AOL when I wanna cruise chatrooms and talk to strange people afoxthatroxxx@aol.com I used to use ICQ but I found it very clunky and poor.

It wouldn't make much difference, I'm on terrible internet and only sometimes bother to turn on my MSN/AIM/AOL. I also have a terrible personality for IM conversations as I get easily distracted. I'm the kind of person who'll take about 5-15 min to reply to a message. :( I'm terrible.

i use Skype. i used to use MSN but i only ever used to chat to a few people (the others were just added numbers to my contacts list). the people that i actually chatted to have Skype now because its much better for chatting over microphone/webcam and better for multiple person conversations.

I have AIM and MSN (yeah, I still call it that), but I usually forget to sign on to AIM because only one or two of my friends have it. Everyone else I know uses MSN.
