I am currently using Windows 7 and must say it is the best OS Microsoft has ever come with. If you have your computer dual booted or use 2 different computers, list the one you use most and/or prefer.

Vista on my Desktop. XP on my laptop.
On this PC i have Vista and VM Backtrack, Windows 95 and Ubuntu (change to backtrack soon) running on others. markop2003
Windows 95? Yikes!
I use Ubuntu 9.10 as my main OS, I also have a Vista partition that does nothing but collect dust.bededogI was thinking about doing a dual boot again with a Linux distro, but know little about Ubuntu. What's your opionion on it?
Hey, at least you were smart and stayed clear of Vista. However, I do recommend Win7.XP. I just can't be bothered to upgrade to Windows 7.

What's your opionion on it?Ubuntu is the most widely used desktop Linux distro, it has a big community and help is easy to find. I'd recommend it for new comers, you could also try Linux Mint which is an Ubuntu derivative that comes with flash and media codecs preinstalled. If you don't mind waiting a bit, Ubuntu 10.04 comes out next month, you might want to wait for it.

Still on XP, but I shipped in the disc for Windows 7 as I'm building a new PC for the Spring.

Sweet. Gaming PC?

Sounds good. About 5 years ago, I had Fedora dual booted with Vista, but didn't really fool around with it much due to a lack of software support. Have things changed much in that department? Also, is Mint planning on being a free distro?

It's still meh. I dual booted Linux a while back, but removed it because of the lack of software support. I couldn't find a media player on par with MediaMonkey and Winamp, and OpenOffice had issues with opening alot of Microsoft Office Power Points. Other than that it was a pretty good OS. I personally have XP, since my computer is 3 years old and won't support anything higher than Windows Vista Home Basic. I could upgrade the parts, but I'm saving up for a good gaming laptop for next summer before I go off to college.I am currently using Windows 7 and must say it is the best OS Microsoft has ever come with. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. I don't know if I'd say its the best if it were running on my old XP PC. Runs great but I have a hefty PC.

Chech this out: Windows 7 game compatibility
Thanks for the link, does anyone know if La-Mulana, Spelunky and other indie games work in windows 7? because I tried La-Mulana in vista but it was really slow.XP, I don't know which games work well in 7dragon7x2k
Pretty sure they all do, you just have to run them in compatibility mode for XP.
Vista but I've got Windows 7 waiting to be installed and also Windows 95, 98 and Ubuntu are on my virtual machine.PS2_ROCKS
I can kinda understand running running Windows 98, but why 95 too?
Windows 7 Pro x64.
I'm also working on getting Arch Linux set up in a VM as a guest OS, and I will probably let that take over my second screen. Main reason for this is that I miss Irssi, rTorrent, and a bunch of other Linux applications..and I want to use them without abandoning Windows and its applications. Doing it for fun, too, of course. (And yeah, I can and have run Irssi on Windows, but it's just not the same.)
Supposedly VirtualBox guest additions can make it seamless with Windows 7, which sounds really cool. I wanna see just how integrated I can get it with the host OS using the file sharing system and such that VirtualBox has in-place.
I've also been wanting to give 'Awesome WM' a try.
