The pain of having something and losing it or the pain of never having it all. Let's say for instance the thing is parents, brah. Is having parents but then losing them worse than never having them at all? I'd say having and losing them is worse. You have bonds with someone but then they break and it hurts a lot

Having them and loosing them. But why do you always use "brah"? I use the word "bro". But not nearly as much as you use "brah".

Pain of losing someone, emotional pain is the worse. You can cut off my right arm, and it will hurt like a B. While emotional will just rip your soul apart.

It's impossible for a person to have never had parents unless they are a clone.

They died when they were a baby. It's possible.

True. Although when they become of age they won't remember.

So it will be like they never had any.

Losing it. Even more so if it's your fault. But you do get to have all those good memories, but then that could make it worse...

The pain of emptiness, nothingness, with no place to belong, to hope for, nothing to return to. Such a thing consumed me for near 30 years. Twas unbearable.

Loss, it sucked when I lost my dad. :(

If you never had something before, you never knew what it was like, therefore it doesn't really matter.

Loss, IMO. If you've never had something, how can you miss it, unless you're picturing an unrealistic fantasy of what it could be?

"Brah" is Pidgeon English for bro. The term originated in Hawaii. Maybe OP's from there?

Anyway TC, to answer your question: to have something and then lose it is more painful. Otherwise you're simply living in ignorance which isn't painful at all, just emptiness.

Pain of loss is worse as you know what you are missing. Pain of nothingness can be bad, but is a consistent kind of background pain.

I'd rather have had something good enough to feel bad about losing than have nothing.
