Those are the one's that always enjoys posting here and making what OT fun

You guys need to go further back than that to when OT was actually fun.

Double_decker made the roll call thread active. Fastesttruck and another user were fun until they get obsessed with posting. @kitty wouldn't mind seeing you more active in OT. =)

Definitely. OT used to be so active....and entertaining. Hasn't been that way in long long time.

Never got that obsession with posting TBH. Omni left after the April Fool's joke. Man was he pissed. lol

@horgen: Yeah I did started lurking here in 2011 GS back, but I was hardly in the forums lurking. I wouldn't say I'm still new here, when I finish collage, I was ready to make my grand appearance in October 2014.

I don't know much about the older OT users but the one's on the top of my head I did have a conversation with.

Something when they removed the 2 posts a minute limit. Don't know why it got so extreme. Looking back at it, I laugh at that April Fool's joke. But the mod was banned as I was reading his blog. That was weird.

You're new compared to LJS. Some loved the time between 2010-2012, others liked the 2003-2005 period.

Yea, one of the reasons I stopped posting as much. But I do like to come back occasionally.

I am an old poster that dates back to before 2008. I won a couple OTcars, had my 10k party, you name it. I took several years away from Gamespot but I returned with this newer profile. I figured on having a fresh start and things just aren't the same anymore. Where the **** did unions go, for starters.

I can't remember specific users. There were so many that it was easy for people to get buried in the comments. I miss the active days where a new thread could get lost from the first page in a few minutes to hours. Now there are 3+ day old threads on the first page.

Sajedene, Gaza Ali and Gabu were always fun. Sajedene quit due to the April fools thing, Gabu got ponies on the brain, and Gaza Ali just disappeared. Hope he's okay.

I think OT is fine now, I just think ya'll expect too much. A busy forum doesn't necessarily make a better (or more stimulating) forum for discussions.

Whatever happened to ChaosCougar that was my bro. Haven't seen Druggie in a while. TheAthiest (think that was the name) made it interesting. Teenaged something as well. Then there was some users more religious forgot their names. Some users had Dark Ages looking avatars, that's what inspired mine.

Gabu_Ex, mindstorm (an apologist who could actually debate), airshocker, xaos, Teenaged, Gaza Ali... I'm horrible with names. There are so many more I remember in terms of avatars or signatures, but the names evade me.

Xaos was a good contributer, a proper San Francisco techie, homosexual, and collector of nerd paraphernalia.

Sajedene was the token female of the boards, and a Reagan-loving conservative to boot. A fun member. I wasn't sad when she left after the St. April Fool's Day Massacre, but she is missed.

There are a lot of other posters going way back, but tbh I've forgotten many of their names.

Oh yeah, all of those folks. Gaza left not too long ago, not more than a year it feels like.

She left because she let herself fall into one too many traps, the last being the April Fools Day joke (to be fair, a lot of people left because of that....tight asses).

I hope Ali is OK too, he went a little batshit towards the end there but as a resident of Gaza I can't blame him.

There was a very intense, detailed, lengthy practical joke that the mods and certain members (after they were clued in) pulled on the community. It had to do with someone (a mod, iirc) getting banned unjustly.

Feelings were hurt, things were said, and no one said "Hey it's a joke" when shit got serious (not at first) and a lot of stuff escalated when it should not have, arguably. It even transferred onto another forum.

It was a really good prank, to be honest, it was just taken really seriously. The end result is a lot of people felt betrayed and left.

It was a long time ago I am probably not remember it 100% correctly but that's the gist of it.

She used to be trolled hard. That's why she left. She used to PM message here when it was happening.

Yeah I thought people got a bit too invested in it. I mean I liked the mod in question.....and they pretending to ban two mods. Wasn't worth leaving over though.
