Which side of your family are you closest too?

Which side do you look more like?

I think I favor more of my father side of the family but I'm closer to the relatives on my mother side.

I favor and only close to my mothers side. My fathers side never acknowledged me and my brother. The never cared about anything we did but would brag like crazy if our cousins did something similar. They wouldn't have gifts for us on holidays or Xmas but would for every other child. We would see their gifts under the tree. We would either get something re-gifted to us or the broken toys that our cousins got that needed to be returned. When I got married and had a son they didn't even want to meet my wife and son. It is a lesson for me on how I don't want to be with my family.kakkarott23

This inparticular I can relate to, I have family that acts that way toward certain parts of the family and I think it's completely ridiculous.

My mom's.

In fact, my dad's parents are the only people I know from his side.

I look much more like my mother's side of the family but aside from a couple people, I hardly see anyone on her side of the family. So, I like and feel more comfortable around my dad's side of the family.

I was really really close with my dad's parents and a couple of his sisters. My grandparents pretty much raised me for my first eight years. They both started declining health wise around that time.

I was never very close to my moms family. Both side were pretty insane.

Well, pretty much all of the people on my mom's side live around here in North Dakota, so by default I'm closer to them. My dad is from South New Jersey, so basically all of his relatives live in the South Jersey/Philly area, so I don't get to see them very often. However, I'm very close to my dad's brother. I think I look more like my dad's side because my dad's side is overall pretty Irish, and I look very Irish.t3hrubikscube
