So I finally purchased the graphic novel of Watchmen(International edition) a month and a half ago. I made sure I read the graphic novel before seeing the movie. I enjoyed it.

I know want to watch the movie version and was wondering which version to rent? Apparently the director's cut is much longer. Has anyone here seen both versions, if so which would be better?

Any suggestions and comments would be appreciated.

PS- Even though I have read the GN please don't post any movie version spoilers in case there are differences. Just which version to get and why. Thanks.

Simply don't watch the movie. The novel is awesome, and the movie kills it

That's why I made sure to read the novel first. But there have been quite a few people who haven't read the novel and think the movie was amazing. That's why I want to give it a shot.

I watched the regular movie and enjoyed it. I did not read the graphic novel however, so i do not know which was better. I watched the theatrical version though, and it was good.

Directors Cut. I features a few scenes that really show off the characters more (and a death scene..)

Both are great. Directors cut is mind-blowing. Definitely go for that one.
