What does that have to do with the topic?
If my kid wants to do one of those then I want stop them. I never tried to be any of them so I wouldn't look for my kids to go toward them either.Ragnarok1051
WOW that makes no sense at all. So because you did not do it your child should not.

I'm saying because I wasn't interested in those careers then I won't be disappointed if my kids aren't interested in them either. I will support my kid in whatever job they want.
jesus freakin H!!! Ragnorak is the only one who answered correctly. you want your kid to be whatever YOUR KID WANTS TO BE(assuming of course your child doesn't wanna grow up to be a hooker or heroin junky) trying to make a child into something they're not/don't want to be can seriously damage many aspects of their psyche. i know this from personal experience.

This is just a gamespot poll, not a parenting discussion. Most parents do have the same views however most of the people on this board aren't parents.
I would also assume that even if you are a parent you'd still have a preference, even if you aren't actively molding your child into that person.
I really won't care what my children become as long as they are happy with their careers and do more good than harm (or hopefully no harm).

Damn you, I was gonna say that.
