Nazism in the USA
Where is Gestapo when you need them?

People do have freedom of speech, and there isn't anything we can do about it : /SetsaYeah...this pretty much sums it up...
From what I've seen of the video so far (only 2:36 in) the woman they're focusing on isn't nearly as bad as the head of the neo-nazis in Alabama that some documentary I saw several months ago was about. Now that guy was ****ed up (even admitted that he recruited young teens specifically because they were so easy to indoctrinate).
This stuff isn't limited to just the US either though. Another good BBC documentary on white supremacy/neo nazism is their documentary on the BNP titled Young, Nazi, and Proud.
BNP, they say they're not racists... [QUOTE="Bigboss232"]Why would you agree with them. Yeh, not the 1st time I have seen a similar comment from him. so i'm not allowed to agree with them?[QUOTE="XD4NTESINF3RNOX"][This message was deleted at the request of the original poster]dramaybaz
No you can agree with them if you want I was just asking why. Has in I want to here your point of view is it exactly the same has theres and why is your opinion the same.
The problem with many of these "documentaries" on nazis and such is that I think they do more harm than good. It's almost like free advertising for a group of people that otherwise would not be able to get their message of hate out to the masses.

These documentaries don't portray racist/intolerant views in a good light. While they're not terribly biased, the bias is there. In the video in this topic, for example, the guy throws a lot of hardball questions like "you don't see anything wrong this?", "what was it you were jailed for?", and "don't you think your kids are too young to be involved in this?". A lot of his "questions" are just his opinions disguised as inquriry. As a result, I don't think that any fence sitters would lean toward nazism after seeing a documentary like this. Not that there are very many fencesitters on this issue I'd imagine since most people are either racist already or against it.

It's not that they portray them in a good light - it's that they are basically giving a nominal group free press time to spew their nonsense. Obviously the interviewer disagrees with them, but do we really need to see this?[QUOTE="gameguy6700"][QUOTE="sonicare"]

Obviously the interviewer disagrees with them, but do we really need to see this?Do we need to see any documentary? No. Is it beneficial to learn more about society and the world? Yes. Like it or not neo-nazis exist, and I'd be willing it's better that people are aware of what they're like than to pretend that they don't exist. When it comes to unpopular fringe movements like neo-nazism the majority of their success is due to people being ignorant of their existence.
I'm not worried at all about people deciding to become neo-nazis after watching a documentary about it. If they were inclined to become skinheads or nazis chances are very good they already are or at least would have identified with such an ideology sooner or later.

yep.
Reminds me of the British Nazi Party, sorry, the British "National" Party.

This sort of thing really does annoy me. Don't get me wrong, I'd never vote BNP (Im more of a liberal, but thats splitting your vote..) and im no racist, but I do however believe in freedom of speech, an aspect that makes nations such as the United Kingdom and the USA great. Nobody pay's attention to the other end of the spectrum, such as the hate-preachers/clerics of Britain, but the BNP who actually gained MEP seats (albeit on the failure of Labour) are seen as criminals? Sure, their views are shocking, but atleast dish the pain out evenly to both sides if you catch my drift..?
I've seen that program before, its mind-blowing how the children see the swastika as an entertainment factor, sort of reminiscent of the whole brainwashing of the education system in Nazi Germany. Ironic how she called Theroux the 'deluded brainwashed lemming', i think it was?
I don't think there's anything wrong with being a Nazi (which is not what they're called btw). I say White Power, and I feel a sense of pride when I do.ImmortalicaWhy? White power is for the uncultured -- those who don't understand the difference between culture and race. Race is an aesthetic quality, whereas ethnicity and culture are ancestry, what you SHOULD be proud of. If your family hails from Florence, then you should be embracing Neopolitan culture, not a non-existent one in which people who share the same skin pigmentation of you partake in. It's stupid. I'm from South India, and I can't relate to people from North India. I don't even speak the same language as they do. In fact, I don't speak the same language as the people who live 30 km away from where I grew up. We don't even share the same customs. And you know what? I have no pride in THEIR culture, just because they share the same skin color as me. I take pride in MY culture, because that's what I was born into, that's what my father was born into, that's what my father's father was born into, so on and so forth. White pride is an excuse to be culturally ignorant.

Oh, boy, nothing wrong with slaughtering innocent Jews, and hating all other human beings! *sarcasm*enterawesomeThere's a difference between WWII-era Hitler-dictated Nazi Germany and modern day white nationalism. If you didn't know, Hitler was not the only one to kill Jews. The Russian pogroms, for example. It's a good thing you said sarcasm, because that's not what it's about any way. White pride is a love thing, not a hate thing.

I am proud of my culture, and those of the nations from which I descend. The point being, we are not different. We are white and we are brothers, even through different cultures and customs. NS stands for white pride world wide, and the preservation of all the cultures that make up the white race.

I'm allowed my freedom of speech to criticise the BNP. They're nothing but standard pub racists and most of their policies would lead to disaster for this country and it's people.

Could you become freinds with someone who is jewish or of african american decent. I don't think I could. I know that sounds bad, but it is the way it is. I only associate myself with those of my kin. From my experience, those people have all been very different from me, and I couldn't be friends with them if I wanted.[QUOTE="Immortalica"]I don't think there's anything wrong with being a Nazi (which is not what they're called btw). Theyre different because of attitude, not skin color..
I don't mean to generalize, but the examples from that series of videos seemed to indicate that the living conditions for a lot of those white supremacists were less than ideal.
I think that this kind of extreme race pride or supremacist attitude comes from the need to feel that, despite one's situation, one is still better than a huge group of other people.
