To me it seems like everyone loves Obama but then again i keep seeing talk shows spreading untrue rumours about Obama and how is a muslim because of his name and that his speechs are plagiarized when they clearly aren't. It seems there are people out there who don't want him president. So maybe people are more in favour of McCain? but then i see people on the media stating he's an idiot. in this thread everyone has an opinion and it be great if people wouldn't flame someone if the person is in favour of someone you hate.

One thing I don't understand is that people are claiming he's a Muslim as if it's a big deal even though he is not, what does it matter?

I see what you did there  I agree.

Anyways, I'd rather have Obama but either way I think we're in for another bad 4 years.

well seeing as how there is this huge stereotype after 911 that all muslims are terrorists, i guess having a supposibly "muslim" president would be a bad thing

You know you can still just write him in when you vote, right? That's what I'm going to do, as I too don't like either candidate much.

i know. have you heard of that guantanamo prison thats full of innocent muslims. They are muslims who came to US who were hinted to be part of the Taliban and then sent straight to the guantanamo prison and couldn't leave unless they confess they were part of the Taliban. They are beaten and tortured in the prison and some of them as young as 15 years old.

No matter who is president the next 4 years wont be the greatest. One of this biggest problems is that we people allow Congress and the President to have power and only complain about it.

Yeah seriously. It really ticks me off when people stereotype them. I also have a Muslim friend and she's one of the nicest people.

I'm in favor of Reagan, the best President since George Washington. However, seeing as Reagan is dead and my multiple attempts to revive him via witchdoctoring have failed, I'll have to settle for McCain. Damn it all.

I'm in favor of Barack Obama. However I'm still unsure if I'm going to vote or not this November. Since summer began Obama has been moving too much to the center of the political spectrum for my liking. I might end up voting for him just because I don't want to see McCain get elected. But sadly, I don't think Obama will win, I don't think Americans have come far enough to elect a black man president. I know a lot of people(here in the Midwest), that won't vote for him just because he is black. That's a real shame, I thought we had come farther than this as a nation.

Considering Ron Paul dropped out, and McCain and Obama make horrible presidential canidates, I am supporting Chuck Baldwin.

Bob Barr is about the worst choice the Libertarian Party could've made.
